This possum was in our garbage for like, 2 hours yesterday... We thought he would of crawled out on his own, but after we saw him in the same position a few hours later, we knew he needed help... We tilted the garbage on it's side and checked on him about 20 minutes later and he was gone:p What a little cutie he was though!:D

( please excuse the nasty garbage, LOL)

Most possums I see are ugly little critters. But for some reason the one in your trash was pretty cute. Was he a youngster? Glad you helped him out of his little predicament.

I dunno why but i like possums. Glad you gave him a helping hand. SInce the tread above this one is about cheesecake..i tell you that when the guild had it's Christmas party they left half a cheesecake for me. I stopped at GG's and divided that in half and was about to go home and feast on the rest all by myself. AS i was getting out of the car the box tipped and my lovely lovely cheesecake fell upside down of course on the mulch. you can't pick mulch out of cheesecake..i am horrfied to tell you i actually tried, hoping that even a little bit could be salvaged, but to no avail. I was afraid to give it to the dogs for i thought they might swallow it whole and get pieces of bark in their tummies. So i set it out for my cat food thief of a possum. I am sure he didnt' mind picking out the pieces:D Not one crumb was left the next morning.

Aw, thanks guys!

Shazbot: I'm really not sure of the age or even the sex of the little guy (or girl) Thanks for being proud of me guys, I have to admit though, I was a little scared tipping the garbage over because I thought he would've jumped out right away, but he was more afraid of me than I was of him... I happened to think he was cuter than normal possums as well... He didn't seem vicious or anything

They are cute! Unfortunatly, they like to crawl down from the trees at night, and the dogs get them. :( They have probably gotten 5 or 6....last one they got was about 6 months ago, so I think they have finished them off. Either that or they have wised up and dont go by the dogs.
