Sounds like exactly what's needed for the biguns, Foxy.

Most of my vets have wanted to either do the lifting themselves or have their techs do it, but I usually end up picking up Bimmer and Tallulah.

Kharma, of course, stays on the ground, lol.

lol coop, not so much for mine but ruby does like to ride on it, as we found out when the vet turned to tell me something and she began pressing the up down button with her paw LOL, it whent up, it whent down and everytime she hit the button and the table moved a little bit her tail would start wagging like crazy lol.

we have used it for the cocker though, he doesnt like to be picked up, he wiggles and more than once theyve almost dropped him so now he just steps on, rides it to the top...sooo much easier!

LOL Beezer would NOT be having the moving table. he'd FREAK.

smkie... seems it wasn't the stranger lifting him that was the problem because even they couldn't lift him without issue and if they hadn't tried to lift him they wouldn't have found the rib problem. Sometimes silly things happen for a reason :)

Our Vet examines Beezer and Belle on the floor. She comes in, sits right down beside them and starts rubbing them down checking everything out. Which usually ends up with Belle snuffling her ear and Beezer rolling in her lap (not at the same time... we don't take them for their check ups at the same time lol that would be chaos)

poor voodoo. They really can put on the pitiful when they need to

our vet has one room with a hydrolic table for the big dogs, it goes down almost all the way to the floor, and can lift up to 350lbs...lower it, dog steps on, vet presses button than steady the dog to make sure no freek out and lifts it to whatever height best for the dog.

its awesome for working with the mastifs
That's what my vet has too. Before he got that table I don't really remember if he did the exams on the floor or picked the dogs up... but either way, I wouldn't bat an eye if he wanted to lift the dogs up.

Hope Voodoo heals up quickly!

Poor boy, I hope he feels better soon!

I always pick up Sawyer and put him on the table, or if the room is set up for it, have him jump from the bench to the exam table.

Foxy, that lift table scared the h#ll out of Max when he was a puppy. The vet we went to had one that could also weigh the dog. Max go frightened by the lift going up and then had an ear infection she had to look at. That day changed his mind about going to a vet.

Luckily, we have great ones where we live now that he loves.

Poor Vood, its always something with him!

I've never heard of putting big dogs on a table.....Benji gets put on the table because he's only 20lbs, but Daisy hasn't been put on the table since she was a puppy! I think they started just examining her on the floor once she broke 30 or 40lbs (she's 75lbs now).
