It's not really my house that needs organized...
It's my computer.

Holy craaaaap files everywhere. Trying to get everything properly sorted so I can burn backup discs because HOLY CRAAAAP FILES EVERYWHERE.

Something like 70% of the population has cold sores, or HSV1. It's the oral version of herpes (the other version is HSV2, and can be anywhere, but is usually associated with genital herpes). You probably never HAD the virus, and recently caught it from kissing or eating after someone. It's also possible that you had it as a child, and your immune system kept outbreaks in check for a few decades, but something strained it, and now you're showing symptoms.

There are tons of meds to treat the symptoms, but there are also suppressants you can get with a prescription.

This is why I don't drink after people.. That and general paranoia over hygiene.
iv been celibate/asexual for over 10 years so im thinking its not from that. upon retrospection my mother got cold sores a lot when i was little. so mayb ei was born with it. i couldnt afford the abreva ($26?!?!?!) so i just got some carmex and a fresh toothbrush and then ill get another toothbrush after the sore goes away (mayo clinic article recommends this). of all the times iv been sick and stressed iv never had a cold sore til now, bloody hell i know im getting old now lol. first food poisoning for the first time in my life, now a cold sore.

You can't be born with it but it's likely your mom kissed you& didn't realize she was contagious.

Consider yourself so lucky to have only had one outbreak. they suck.

Friday could be a really good day.

If I don't go crazy before then. But I am fairly certain I will go crazy before then. Because there just isn't enough alcohol in the world. And this saddens me.

Praying that the "light" snow tomorrow doesn't majorly affect the day trip I planned to brave the cold and go see the boyfriend.

I have to catch public transportation from Philly to southern Delaware and get up pretty early to do it. I never get this many consecutive days off and since transportation runs really spaced out down there, I'm going to be sooo upset if it's ruined because the clouds decide to drop a dusting in the morning when I have to do the bulk of traveling.

Called the vet to make an appointment for Pepper. Felt horrible telling the receptionist it's about her "behavioural issues." For some reason saying it out loud and saying it like that, ick. I got off the phone and wanted to cry. I don't even know why, I guess I just feel like I should have been able to fix it some other way. I should have been able to train her. I should have been able to brute-force her temperament into normalcy. I don't know. I know it doesn't work like that but it doesn't stop me from FEELING like it should work like that.

Those things suck, too :( I never had them when I was younger, either. I only started getting them in my late 20s-early 30s. But I have found that a good immune multi, one that includes zinc, and C helps keep them away, also adding a immune supplement called Lysine also helps keep them away for me.

You dont have to kiss someone the HSV1 can enter your body through any open wound. I am sure I picked it up from working as a groom at the barn, a stables isnt actually the cleanest place LOL.

Can I vent about the stupid internet and tv company?

I moved in September and paid my first month by phone when I switched. NO mention when I was switching the cable over to the new address that it would disconnect my online I had been using for years. No notice till last week that my payments had bounced... because it was attached to the wrong account number. Now they want me to pay late fees and a fee for a bounced payment. Every time I would check online it was showing me $0 as my balance.

Everything else that stayed with the same company didn't completely change account numbers when I moved! But really they should have warned me that the account number would change, don't you think? Like 'hey, by the way if you use our online portal to pay your bills and continue paying online your account it won't work until we merge your accounts?'

I said 'No one even told me this would be a problem.' The guy I talked to replied 'Well we have no way of knowing if a customer is using our online bill pay'. Well shouldn't you just assume they might? Maybe MENTION it to them at least. Having them have a page linked to a broken account that shows $0 due all the time is dumb and confusing.

My natural gas, phone, etc all worked FINE upon move. They all knew to change over my online account too. I'd think they'd be able to you know.... KNOW which customers have an online account with them?

The same thing happened to me when I moved recently (to a different apartment IN THE SAME COMPLEX) and the internet company did the same thing. I only have internet through them (I don't have land line or cable) and it's $60 a month. When I moved I didn't get a paper bill because I'm on auto-pay paperless, so I assumed it just transferred. Then I got a message saying they couldn't process my payment and were charging me a $10 late fee, and a $30 bounced check fee.... more than 50% the total of the bill. I was pissed and ended up being able to talk them out of it, but it took awhile.

My new foster is eating 1/2-3/4 cup of Fromm and Acana a day. Smaller than the others, but eats so much more. Other than maybe Apollo. I think he eats a ton too.

My food bill suddenly tripled. /sad

That could be something way more serious. It doesn't sound good. Urgent care?

Laurelin- Comcast? They just took me to collections when my account had auto-pay set up from the beginning.

Acromioclavicular separation. My collarbone separated from my shoulder, apparently? Cooooool.

The doctor was surprised I was able to throw a frisbee at all the day after it happened, let alone do well enough to win something. I'm off work until further notice, and have no idea what recovery time or treatment will look like. I'm in a sling now.

Hopefully getting in with the two doctors I need to see today or tomorrow. I'm afraid I'm going to have to pull from our disc comp at the end of the month and that makes me oh so sad. :(

Ugh. This morning has not started well at all. Three things have already not gone according to plan and it is only 9:30.

Hopefully the rest of this day does not follow suit, or it is going to be a miserable day.

First day back at school since early December.
Still haven't 100% gotten over this damned sickness that's been plaguing me for the past week, so yes, I'll be that gross sniveling mess annoying everyone with my coughing and nose-blowing.
