Time change is kicking my butt.

Hank got up for about a minute then went and put himself back in bed. I wish I could do that lol.

Apparently bikes + train tracks /= good things.

And I have two different backpacking trips planned over the next 2 weeks and I don't even know if I'll be able to go.

Streetcar in Portland or full sized train tracks? As close to 90 degrees as possible, no sudden movements, don't try and turn on them, especially if wet. Streetcar is worse than freight because they tend to go along the lane....

They were full train tracks that run through my neighborhood. I ride over them every single day with Fable on our bike ride and am always careful not to get my wheel stuck in them. I just screwed up yesterday.

A couple and their very young child (I would guess 2ish. She's running and not chunky like a baby, but not exactly like a preschooler either) moved in a few apartments down. I cringed, because I'm not great around kids, but it happens. I certainly don't have the right decide who can and can not live there.

All day long, though, has been one loop of screaming. 6 long hours of running up and down the sidewalk (ranch apartments, so basically racing by each door)
Child: SSSSHHHHREEEEEEIIIIIIIIK!
MOM: Yells childs name while not leaving her own porch
Child: SSSSHHHHHREEEEIIIIIIIK!
Mom: Yells childs name while not leaving her own porch
Child: SSSSHHHREEEEEEIIIIIIIK!
Mom: Yells child name while not leaving her own porch.

Lather, Rinse, Repeat. I know that kids can be loud, but there has to be some sort of limit here. If I have to jump up to make sure that the screams are not due to a severed limb, it might be time to work on a quieter voice. Poor Gambit ran underneath the cat tree and wouldn't come out.

I just closed the window, but we have no AC, so that's not going to be an option in a month or so unless we all want to suffocate. Something tells me its going to be a very long summer.

If it continues, I would look into putting in a noise complaint with your apartment complex. Of course kids will make some noise, but you also shouldn't have to live with such bad disturbances that it's terrifying your pets. She should be doing something with her child other than contributing to the noise the kid is making by yelling at her. I'm sorry you're dealing with that. :/

Nothing more annoying than someone knocking on your door at 9 in the morning.

I ignored it because the dogs were outside in the backyard and I'm not answering the door without Abrams throwing a rage fit in the background. (And because I'm in my PJs with a very thin top and messy hair.)

Good grief.

Is it fair to be pissed that I'm no longer scheduled ENTIRE DAYS just because someone who hates me is working at nights that I am usually scheduled for (I work splits)?

The back of my leg hurts, like, in my Achilles tendon. First of all, that is one of those places that just talking about freaks me out, let some touching it, but now it hurting has given me the heebie jeebies all day. I don't know what caused it but I'm irritated by it!!! Secondly, I am helping a friend move tomorrow, and Sunday, we are finally moving into our new house. I don't have time for this!!!!!!!

I've always heard dog people be hesitant about dog parks, but ours is HUGE with big fields and trails and totally open, not fenced in. Hugo ignores most dogs unless he knows them from daycare or they initiate chase games. It's is favorite place. Today, we were walking past another dog and Hugo wasn't even LOOKING at it and it jumped him. He has a puncture in his side. Come to find out the dog jumped another one 15 minutes earlier. All the lady said is "god he embarrasses me every time we come here." So pissed.
