Is it any good.
Had the dogs nails clipped today - 'cause I'm a coward - and the groomer suggested it for our Collie mix who seems to have a dry coat.
(already using Canidae and oatmeal shampoo)
Just wondered about your opinion.
Thanks

I've heard it's great! But haven't used it personally.

YES - I love it, I've used it for years. It's simply amazing, my eyes go starry whenever anyone mentions it! It's great for detangling, keeping dogs cleaner longer, adding shine, adding moisturizer, protecting the coat... it's praises fgo on and on.

Here's a hint though - buy the pre-mixed bottle. The concentrate is tricky, because if you don't get it *just right* it doesn't feel right. Does that makes sense? :)

The Stuff is a finishing spray - white in color, you can order it at various places online. It's a detangler, but also adds shine and repels dirt to a point.

It's really nice stuff, it brings a great shine to short coats and makes longer coats literally float through your fingers - makes all dogs feel "cleaner" after their bath, smoother.

But nolu... this isn't dog stuff, it's a tool that makes humans happier when they pet their dogs! ;) ;) ;)

and

both have it. I'd look on both and see which has it for cheaper.

Our shampoo guy sells it too, but he's more expensive than the websites.
Maybe weird, but I absolutely LOVE The Stuff when my hair is being crappy. O.O

I agree with Sizzle. The Stuff is Awesome!!! She introduced me to it. I love the feel it gives Jack's coat after i blowdry him with it in. And as she said it helps keep the dirt down.

Okay, I just placed an order with dog.com and they happened to have The Stuff, so I bought some. How do you use it? After a bath, during, between bathes as needed..?
Auggie is gettin' to where he needs a bath, but he can wait a few days if I need to use it during the bath!

I usually use it just after the dog has been toweled off - spray thoroughly but lightly, especially on the feathering and longer hair. Do you hand-dry Auggie, or let him air dry? If you do blowdry him, you'll get to feel the full effects of The Stuff - it turns the coat into silk... ;)

Otherwise, you can use on an as-needed basis. It works wihether the coat is dry, damp, or wet! Did you get the already-mixed kind, or the concentrate?

I just got a new blow dryer for Christmas that is supposed to be super quiet, but I haven't tried it yet! Usually we towel off a bit, then I blow dry, and then he air dries the rest of the way, but we'll see how he does with the new dryer. It takes a loooong time for him to air dry, unless the weather is good and we head outside!

I went ahead and got the pre-mixed stuff this time around so I can figure out how it's supposed to look and feel before I try to mix anything myself, LOL!
