Eee! The cage is precious!!! I'm jealous, I want ratties so badly. I think at this point, my dad would rather have another dog than a rat. (Maybe I can use this to my advantage? Lol jk) But seriously, I don't get it. They're ADORABLE!
That's how I got Lucy LOL. My mom didn't want me getting rats again, so she said I could have another dog instead.

Did you get an email confirmation when it shipped?

Also what type of box does it come in? Like does it say rat cage or critter nation on the cage? Lol
I didn't get an email from them, but when I ordered it I don't think I gave them an email address so that would explain why. But it shipped about 2 or 3 days after I ordered it - if you go into "my account" and then "view order history" they should eventually provide you with a tracking number.

It came in this ginormous box that almost killed me when I tried sliding it down the stairs. Juno was kind enough to model with it lol

So no, it does not say RAT CAGE in big bold letters. :p But it does definitely imply that you have, well, a critter.

So... after you and your sister, does PDub get first dibs? Or does she get whoever's left? lol
Hahaha actually it's my sister who gets whoever is left. :p I get first dibs on boys, but PDub is getting girls so it all works out!

Most important.... we have PEEPERS today! 4 of them opened their eyes today and squeeeee they are a million times more adorable because of it.

This ones eyes are open but she kept getting squinty on me

They run around the cage now, it's pretty hilarious. :D But their mobility makes it hard to get pictures. Especially because I'm using my cell phone to take them lol.

Also, Tulip says "ohai, is sister?"

Only Tulip says this of course because she is in solo playtime for bullying her sisters. I'm hoping maybe the babies can keep up with her insane energy, or she is going to have to be separated *le sigh*

Aww naughty Tulip! I have no doubt in my mind that the babies will have insane energy of their own lol. :p

The 2 lightest babies in the pile are what I think are siamese. IMO it seems like a really random variety to be in the litter, but I'm no genetic expert and it's not like I have any idea what kind of genes I'm working with anyway lol. I just don't know what else they could be; it doesn't show up well in pictures but they have a very two-toned appearance to them, half their body is brown and the other half is a lighter cream.

The girl in the first 2 photos.... she's confused me too! She was much bluer 4 days ago. Now I don't know what her coat is doing.

OMG blue, Siamese AND they're dumbos? It would appear from the posts that you're not the breeder of these rats? Any chance you can get me in touch with the breeder? I'm wanting to get back into rat breeding (especially dumbos in blue and Siamese) but it was years and years ago back when I didn't know half of what I was doing so it would be swell to find a breeder/mentor and someone I could possibly get some rats from in the future. It's so hard to find blues and Siamese around here (I'm in NW Iowa).

There had better be a blue lol or I will cry...and then pick a different one.
I think you should take THIS ONE.

Cuz she's freaking adorable and if I were getting girls, I'd take her. :p She's kind of blue? Lol man I need to figure out the technical names for these.

It's actually an unexpected litter - Mama Rat was purchased from a pet store and then surprise! 11 babies 2 weeks later. I hear ya though, I don't think there are any breeders around here either. Er, at least probably not anyone worth mentoring through.

YAY!!! I'm excited for you lol. :p I can tell I'm going to love this cage - mine was kind of a PITA to assemble but after that was resolved, I decided it was worth it and it's awesome lol.

ETA: Since I pretty much want that little blue girl you posted above, can I steal it for my facebook? :p

It shouldn't be too bad to put together, as long as the pieces fit where they're supposed to. Which is where my issue was lol.

Steal away! Her adorableness deserves to be shared EVERYWHERE.
