The Pup's a'Learning! 
I had my first confirmation that Winston understands a concept rather than the individual requests I give him.
I brought him in and set him down - with the leash still on until I moved the cat food - and Winston headed towards it. Without really thinking it'd work, I just said 'Leave it...' - and he did! He stopped, backed up a step, and sat down, solid!
I grabbed the treats and clicker and we had some practice - he did great! It was a really cool thing to finally see, after reading about training for years...
