I have to mute the TV whenever that commercial with Sarah McLaughlin comes on and that "In the Arms of the Angels" song is playing. I think it's a support your local aspca commercial. I tear up every time :(
OH yeah lol my husband always says that commercial is NOT fair. it makes you just want to give them your life savings so you never have to see it ever again. its SO sad

YES. I don't cry at the Pedigree ones, but they sure do tug at my heart strings - but THAT ONE... that one...
Every time I hear the lyric "in the arms of the angels... fly away from here..." I start sobbing... because I think about the animals that the only saving they can do for them is to put them down, and take away the misery that is their painful life on this earth, and set them free. Urgh, I tear up just thinking about it.

David Duchovny does the voice-over on those? I never realized.

The commercials, I guess, are touching. But I admit that they annoy me, more than anything. Pedigree is putting fourth a completely false image of having "food that is GREAT for dogs", and "caring about dogs"... if they cared so much, why wouldn't they strive to better their ingredients and create foods that are at least semi biologically appropriate for dogs? They make millions & millions. Why do people have to buy their food for them to donate? Why can't they be GENUINELY caring, and donate just because, not as a part of some advertisement ploy? Because, the bottom line with Pedigree and companies like them, is money.

I highly doubt that they actually care about dogs in the least. D: And it annoys me that they exploit people's emotions and the heartbreaking struggles of homeless dogs, for their gain.

The first time I saw that commercial I broke down sobbing.

The pedigree ones really tug at my heart strings, too, but the ASPCA one really gets to me. Even now after I've seen it 50 times, lol.

I agree 100%. These commercials are just a gimic a sick gimic to get people to buy their nasty food.

Nope never cried when I saw these commercials. I don't cry all that easy. Yeah the Echo one pulls at my heart strings a bit though.

Just watched them then.
Don't make me cry but the oliver follow up gave me goosebumps.
Does upset me though, because I know there are so many dogs sitting there right now, wondering what the hell happened.
