Psyche has this obsession with bamboo chutes. She loves them. So, last night, I was trying to pull one off for her, and I was really pulling, then waaaack, it breaks off, and back goes my head.

A bit later, I was sitting on the couch, and what do you know? My head and neck REALLY start to hurt. Wonder why? It wasn't until today when I had her out and was pulling her another one that I figured it out. I think I gave myself whiplash and/or a concussion pulling her a bamboo chute!

My head and neck are STILL aching, but advil seems to help.

Dang dog and her weird obsessions.

Is your neck really tight from it? I know when something hits my neck with force, my neck muscles tighten up A LOT. So if so, maybe a massage would help that...?

Ouch! Becareful at Agility with your neck like that. Wouldn't want you to turn sharp and fast and make it worse!

So sorry that happened! Kind of sounds similiar to the pain you have after a car accident. Hope if feels better soon!

And on the massage note, I got a massage 2 days after a bad car wreck to try and loosen the muscles up, and it actually made things worse in my neck, shoulders and back. So just from my experience, I'd advise against that, lol.

I used to have to get a massage every week. Professional massages are usually NEVER enjoyable; at least mine weren't. But after the pain (they do it so hard because putting that pressure on the muscles causes them to release in reaction to the pain) they actually do loosen up.

I used to have a membership with Massage Envy, and would go every week. I was running a home daycare at the time, so was lifting 6 kids 6 days/wk. The first month or so it was absolutely torturous. After that I felt so much better day in and day out, and the massages became enjoyable. Unless of-course I had a surprise knot. Wish I had the money to do that again!

No ice! Ever! It will cause the muscles to contract. Keep the neck warm.
