Okay, I'm not reading this whole right thread now.

I want to eventually (when I'm actually good enough) sell pet portraits. Can I do that on Etsy or should I make my own site? I guess my question is more towards what it's geared towards, as I want to do custom things.

Sorry if that's a stupid question.

Pet portraits and art in general doesn't seem to fare well on Etsy. I have an alliepets shop, but I just keep the one posting advertising all my pet portraits on there, then the odd handmade pet items I make.

It's probably better to create your own website and go from there.

Okay, thanks! :) When I learn to knit maybe I'll sell doggy sweaters or whatever on there.

Aww everyone here is so talented! I know I'm pretty new here, but I love etsy and seeing everyone's pages was a blast!
