I really love BMDs, though one thing that has kept me from considering one is that I constantly read about how short their lifespans are and it frightens me. Have you found that to be true or is it a concern for you?

Thank you each. Their age isn't really a concern ever for myself, as I just know they will live life and make our lives good for the time they are alive.

Yeah, I definitely understand that. Like Rottweilers, none of the ones I've had have lived long, they've all succumbed to cancer by age 12, and I've always hoped they'd live to 14 or 15 at least, but they've brought joy to my life for the time they've been here. Sort of like adopting a senior dog, too, which I plan to do one day.

I also adore black pugs.
