Thanks everyone!
Linds, I am not going to lie. At first it was tricky, I was always being hog tied by the leashes every 2 ft. we walked. I even fell over once my legs were so tangled in leashes. I got a coupler and solved that problem.
It look Nora a month to warm up to Lacey, she ignored Lacey the entire time like she wasn't even here. I was starting to get disheartened that it was just going to be like that - two dogs ignoring each other. But I saw her get excited when a neighbor dog came over, on the day I adopted her. So I knew there was a chance for them to play, I just didn't push the issue. And now they adore each other.
There have been no fights so far, I don't leave high value items just laying around though. If I give them something like hooves, I supervise. But I don't even know if I need to do this, they have "traded" hooves before. "Hey yours smells better, I want it!" "Your's does too!" *they trade*
They had her "peepee pad trained." When they told me this, I almost decided not to get her. I know how hard it is to untrain. I don't do peepee pads, no freaking way. She had a few accidents, but I put her on doggy lockdown (in the crate if I couldn't watch her 100%). She didn't get the concept of holding it. About 7 accidents total. She understood what I wanted after I caught her "in the act" one day, I said "No!" and picked her up (so she wouldn't stop to finish on the way outside) and took her outside. I threw a party when she finished, after that we had one accident and that was my fault. I overslept, I mean really overslept lol. We haven't had any accidents in a while. And she is only crated if I leave, and at night if she won't potty before I go to bed.
I felt a little overwhelmed at first, but it was just "culture shock" because it was just me and Lacey for so long. Nora was like the third wheel at first, I loved her but she didn't quiet fit in yet. Now she fits in perfectly. She is exactly what I was hoping for.
Did I mention that she is a tugging fool? This dog loves tug. I can lift her off of the ground with the tug, do a light spin, lol. I hold it up high near me and she will hold on and try to climb up my side to stay on it. She loves the flirtpole too.
That was much more than anyone ever wanted to know about Nora, hahaha!
