With all the bad that is happening to everyone around us... I thought it would be nice to have a thread about the little things that really make you happy. the simple stuff.

for me....

curling up on the couch with my blanket makes me happy.

Seeing Hannah's smile makes me happy.

Getting into a bed when the sheets are nice and cool and curling up in the blanket makes me happy.

Looking at pictures from past vacations, holidays and family events makes me happy.

What makes you happy?

Raja does her own version of the Happy Dance every single time I am about to give her food. It's awesome, and it makes me smile. I need to get a video of it somehow so y'all can see.

I ditto the "curling up on the couch with my blanket makes me happy" I LOVE doing that!!

Thinking about the future makes me happy ( getting married soon, having kids, taking vacations )

Friday makes me happy ( because I know after work I get 2 days off )..LOL

When Skyler crawls up on the couch with me and wants to cuddle makes me happy, because he acts sooo cute!!...lol

This is such a great idea!

for me...

-When we get to flyball practice and Izzy's so excited that her fuzzy butt goes 500 miles a second.
-When Frodo and Izzy go frapping around the house and generally act like fools :p
-Curling up on the couch with Izzy, Frodo, and a great book.
-Taking long walks in the woods where I can clear my mind.

Lets see...

Being a mother... my daughters smile, of course!

When my fiance finally comes home from work after a 14 hour day.

Going for long walks with my dogs, fiance, and Madison on sundays.

A nice margarita with salt on the rim and extra tequila (I'm not an alcoholic, I swear).

Waking up in the morning to the sound of my daughters cute little giggles.

Food. lol.

Great idea! I have tons of things.

(1) Going to the beach
(2) Going to the mountains, ride on the Hawk Eye and let the cool air push my hair back
(3) Cuddling up in a cold bed
(4) Hanging out with people I really like
(5) When everything seems to be going my way

Many little things makes me so happy.
- My son's playing in the dirt together
- My Robbie coming home after a long day and giving me a kiss as soon as he walks through the door.
- Hearing "I Love You" without having to say it first
- The smell of flowers
- Growing plants
- Kona romping in the grass, hunting bugs
- Beach
- Car rides

Many, many other things

- Coming home from work and seeing Hannah smile.

- Waking up each day next to the love of my life. (Being with Tanya, not necessarily the waking up part... LOL)

- Early mornings out hunting. Even if we are not successful, just watching the world wake up is cool.

- Getting passed by some moron in a souped up car, driving like a maniac pass you at 100mph... Then seeing them pulled over by a cop 2 miles down the road.

- The sad and pathetic faces Belle and Beezer make and I am such a sucker for.

- The smell of cordite/burnt gunpowder.

- Making a PHAT glove save.

OH I have to second the food thing. Food makes me happy lol. My step dad always says he loves to watch me eat because it's so nice to see someone that REALLY enjoys their food lol.

Beautiful sunsets.

Being on the lake

Watching Hannah experience things for the first time like playing in the grass.

my health.

I LOVE when that happens!

Milo. When he behaves, when he smiles, when he wags, when he falls asleep on my lap. When he plays with me and when he plays by himself. When he does something and I laugh and he does it again and again just to make me laugh more.

My dad for trying to hard to make us all happy.

Sunshine.

When little kids come and say random things to me in public places.

Laser tag.

A good book.

When food tastes exceptionally good. I swear I had the best greek salad ever made the other night.

Enthusiasm. Real, unrestrained enthusiasm, from me or anyone else.

Coincidences.

Singing really loud to a good song you know every single word to.

when my 21 year old actually takes time to really talk to me! :) (he's so busy!)

little notes from my husband

my 18 year old's artwork

my daughter's laughter and smile

floppy hound ears and silly grins

Traveler's zest for retrieving the perfect tennis ball

A freshly cleaned bathroom!

A sunny afternoon

Awww! I love this thread already!!!! YAY!

-Playing video games with my sons and when my youngest lets me beat him because I am absolutely horrible at video games.

-Listening to the laughter of my children

-Listening to my children make the silliest jokes

-Watching Ella play on the flirtpole after a walk and seeing her bully smiles

-Knowing that my husband has 9 vacation days starting this weekend

-knowing I have the summer off from school

-knowing...MY CAMERA SHIPPED!:D

Knowing yall have a child or children makes me want one... I want to wake up every morning to my kid and see him/her smiling, laughing and playing. I want those baby pictures, vacations with my baby, and all of that...

Ugh I wants me a baby.

Waking up every morning, with a fresh start to conquer new things. :)

My husband.

My dogs, and the unconditional love in their eyes.

Buddy being well. *WHOOT!!!*

My friends.

A simple walk, stopping to smell the flowers.

My favorite songs coming on the radio.

Fila love "taps" lol.

But, I would argue that these are not the little things, but the very things that make life worth living. :)

Being where there is noone else for (I hope) miles around, sitting in a beautiful spot that people rarely go to, and just sitting, and taking a deep breath, and just being alive.
