With one litter , the last two didn't arrive until almost 2 or 3 hrs. As to nipples ..8 is norm but way up near the arm pits there are 2 tiny ones . With my largest litter (12 ) I massaged them then put the strongest nursers up on them and they developed milk ! Was happy as I never had to suppliment .... just made sure the smallest had " hind tit " They usually fall asleep while nursing , so I'd remove and rotate . No one went hungry as not all 12 were hungry at the same time .
