Probably for the ultrasounds and monitors they put on her. Around her nipples might be for easier nursing access to pups.

would the way it regrows mess with the way she'll look though? like will it be noticeable when showing?

I'd say (just guessing) that by the time she shows again it will all be grown in nicely again, no different than before.

I noticed that on the site Red gave for Whelp wise all the dogs were shaved in this pattern. Has to be for monitoring. I sure like that. I was up until 1 am here PDT and back think it will be a nap day for me lol. Do not do good with 4 hours of sleep. lol

Rotties aren't double coated so I really don't see a problem with the hair growing back right

Yes I think I am going to go back to bed too. It is early enough here I can catch a couple of hours and not miss all I have to do today.
Red Penny is beautiful and looking well throughout the whole process and the babies are precious. Congratulations to you Grandma and a great big thank you for allowing us to watch this miracle.
