I live in the city where the family of four, dad, mom, and two sons 3 and 4 that were murdered are from. The sister of the woman is my sisters basketball coach and today she came over to our house and talked to us. Friend of the family. When we heard about it and how they didnt know why they were murdered, we automatically knew. It had to be drugs and money. The way the father was, the money they had, and the life they lived down here. When the story aired on Nancy Grace, she replied back to an FBI agent "Why do you want to look into the victims criminal background or life background if they are the VICTIM?!" She criticized and all, she didnt know how it is where I live. They found drugs and evidence of drug trafficking in their flordia home and that is how they found the killers. Sometimes people need to open their eyes and see what is right in front of them. It is so sad how parents can choose to live a life like that and put their children in danger. Did anyone else hear about it?
Rest in Peace to the family.

It is so hard to live a righteous life sometimes, especially in these troubled times. Just saw today that St. Louis, Mo., is the most violent city in the nation, and I am just 30 minutes out. Sucks.

That story was on the news here.

Sad... I cant imagine what the mom felt as she held her boys and tried to shield them from the bullets... almost makes me cry.

My 2 question2...

1. Why were they out so late at night?
2. Why were the children killed?

I agree.. it was probably drug related.

It was drug related. They have found out why. Should be in an article on the web, it was in my local news and in the newspaper, but we found it out from the mother's sister, she is a family friend.
1. Why were they out so late? Police believe they were with one of the drug dealers, to them a friend, he was in the car with them possibly leaving town to get away. The father did not know what was coming.
2. Why were the children killed? With anything drug, money, gang or mob related, they will go for the family no matter what. At first threatening them, and if the person does not comply, they will kill them. Police believe from the evidence and the confessions, the mother and children were killed first and the father was made to watch. The mother was sitting over her kids with her arms over them in an attempt to protect them. Then the father was walked a bit further, and killed. When it comes to cold hard drug dealers, they do not care if it is a 28 year old man or a 2-4 year old child, whoever betrayed them and stole from them will pay from the pain of seeing their family hurt. It is very sad. As I said before, I do not understand how parents can lead that kind of life knowing their family is always in danger.
