I've found something better than a verbal recall for Rigby.
It's stretching.
No matter where she is in the house, if I have a good stretch she is somehow instantly standing on top of me and shoving her face in mine.

I was on a walk with Juno & Cajun tonight and we pass someone on the sidewalk, as we're side by side he says to me "they don't bite, do they?" I say nope, he says oh okay, we all carry on walking. I just.... don't get when people ask that lol. He wasn't interested in petting them, they weren't approaching him, they were just walking with me.

I mean really, was there any expectation that I was going to say "yeah, all the time!!" And since you've pretty much already walked past them, does it change anything at all? I don't know I just find it weird lol I guess I understand they can look intimidating... if only he knew them and what babies they are.
What always gets me is when Roxie, who of course, like most dogs who are peoplesluts, is all smiles and happy tail wagging, slinks over to people begging to be pet and I get asked if she bites.

I usually just stare at them in mass confusion.

We had two different salesmen come to the house the other day and after throwing Abrams out back so he wouldn't terrorize them (although maybe I should have let him...) I was asked by both if Cynder bites. Um. If I just removed the dog that was pitching a fit and left her here, while she is standing calmly and wagging her tail in a polite fashion, I think you're safe. But if you'd like I'll bring the brown dog back. He doesn't bite, either.

I really like this trick. Cohen is turning 5 later this month and she's still as flippy floppy spry as ever.

I swear I've watched this at least 15 times now. I love this! Once I get my will to train back I think rebound will be our next trick hoping to eventually build up to that.

Every once in a while I hear myself say something that...well...just makes me realize that re-integration into non-dog-society may be out of reach.

This morning:
"Dear, we don't eat rabbits heads on the sofa."

Okay then.

On this very humid, rainy day, I decided to attempt to teach the dogs to catch a frisbee.

LOL.

They both think the process is SO MUCH FUN and it actually really tires Cajun out in a short amount of time, but I just don't see either of them ever mastering it lol. I'm uncoordinated. Cajun is uncoordinated but MAYBE has a chance. Juno has just never been good at catching things but she has the coordination to be awesome if she could!!

Ah well, it's still kinda fun

Guilt times guilt to the power of the quantity of guilt plus guilt.
HUGE hugs. I'm sorry. I really am. But sometimes it truly is the greatest gift we can give a dog to realize we are not the right home. I know it doesn't make it any easier right now, and of course I cannot know what was truly in your heart or mind, but it sounds to me like you made a selfless decision... not a cruel one you should feel guilty over.

So I like my new house a LOT. A lot a lot a lot.

But the big problem is the yard. It is FULL of landscaping, flower beds, trees, stone walking paths, and a covered veranda. It's so beautiful and also not much mowing at all.

BUT the flip side is it's not very good for agility equipment. Ack I don't know what to do. Do you pull out half the flower beds to put down equipment? I am pretty sure the trees will put out too much shade for grass. And it's soooo pretty out there right now....

Maybe give it a couple months and see how you feel?

Brisbane spent a large chunk of the morning snoozing in the hallway. He did not raid my purse for the open bag of goldfish crackers inside. Either the Prozac is already kicking in on Day 3, or he's dying.
