Very exciting!! I've been watching non-stop the last two days, and of course today being the only day I didn't, is when she decided to have a puppy, LOL. I hope I get to see the rest, though!

Isn't really progressing. We've let her pick where she wants to lay to have the next one but the contractions are random.. like one and a huge amount of time.. then 2.. then nothing..

Snip here, not sure who this box o' rocks is signed in as. Contractions started around 11:40 or so, with the frequency and number slowly rising for a while, then they slowed down again after that....we were in contact with the vet via phone during this, and the decision was made to go for a car ride and at least take an xray to see what's going on, there's no real sign of a pup moving into the canal at this point.

They are going to try to call back here to provide updates, let's just hpe she's being a tenacious terrier and following the stubborn side of things.

They're heading to the vets to see why pup #2 is taking his/her time...
Yup, and I think poor sleep-deprived Snip has agreed to keep us updated by the phone calls. :p But I think at this point it's just good to know that she's at the vet where a c-section can be had if needed.

Vibes to Dekka, both human and dog, everyone! *fingers crossed*

I'll be keeping an eye on this thread probably all night.

Vibes and good luck wishes are being sent!!

I don't really know anything about anything, but maybe she needs a shot of oxytocin? I just remember watching a special about giving birth on animal planet, something like "here's my baby" or something, and the contractions stopped so they gave the dog a shot of oxytocin and then things got rockin' right after that. (Though the mom was like a ridgeback with a LOT of puppies 14 or 15 I think, and her uterus was just way stretched and needed some help or something)

Anyway, I hope everything goes smoothly and safely for everyone involved, DekkaDog especially!!!!

She got a c-section and spayed. She's not thrilled with pups.. so no more litters after this. Good thing they moved when they did.. as the girl that was the plug weighs 7.9 oz HUGE for a jrt.. The one birthed naturally was a whopping 6.5 oz already huge for a jrt.. Doubt she could have pushed the plug out naturally.

The placenta was still attached.. took a long time to get her breathing, but she is the feistiest now. 2 boy and one girl.

And Shamus rocks... She brought us iced coffee and cookies as we were leaving the vet office. We SO needed it. Thank you hun, that was adorably sweet.
