I have seen unbelievable work done in that combo. IT suits your style too. I can't rememeber what movie my son had on but in the beginning scene there were flames roaring off the surface of something and i thought THAT'S IT! I had been fighting it, disastisfied with what i had come up with. I reworked and it made a world of difference in the believability.

Thanks. The color is taking a while on that one. I'm still not sure about it, but it never hurts to experiment! lol

Here's a purely colored pencil pic:

I finally got to a decent scanner.

Laurelin, could I borrow your last lineart (the one with the six canines) to color? Just to play with it, lol. It looks FUN. :D (I would not post it anywhere.... just to have fun messing around with it and coloring it.)

WHen i was around 16 i took a KRCH class at the Kansas CIty ARt Institute. I swear i thought the teacher was speaking greek, and i could make out less about his sketches on the human figure. Now....i get it. I layout like that too. Lots of little lines that line up things, i spend more time on the area between the dogs eyes and where the stop ends and begins and how that lines up to the ears, inside and out, and down to the mouth...hehehe I sure as heck "get it" now.:rolleyes::rolleyes: I was really dumb back then.

I used to NEVER use any guidlines, now I don't know how I'd survive without them!

Right now I'm trying out a couple things I'm not so good at- humans and digital art.

I love how my cartoon humans are always somewhat anime looking and somewhat not. No idea why it works like that. I think it might have something to do with learning how to draw humans off of video games first. I've never watched an anime in my life. >.<

Well, obviously he's an anime style character in a game, so I suppose that has something to do with that.

I would love to do a big pic of all the Chaz dogs together, but right now I just don't have time. Maybe this summer? That'd be a nifty project. :)

I'm actually kind of liking this, but I have NO IDEA what I'm doing.

Tis Roxas, of course. One of my favorite games. I think thats all for today though. Its fun but I dont know how to do digital art at all, so its just a bunch of experimenting.

<3 I lurv Roxas!

Bored, so I did a quick scribbly Afghan. Scanner went contrast-crazy, it's not nearly that dark. I actually like this one except for the beard (looks way to stiff, but I SUCK at drawing hair so it doesn't surprise me lol). Might finish the long hairs later.
