She had a VERY busy day making daddy MORE tired than he already was (I didn't think that was possible before being woken up at 7:00am yesterday to a scared, shivering, puppy wedged into a crevice between the sliding glass door and the back of the couch... how quickly I learned)

Bella isnt too thrilled with the way that banzai likes to play (scruffing the neck and ears, and barking) She's terrified every time the boys have the zoomies and make a lap directly for her. She's not so thrilled that buddy is starting to be bossy (I think he's starting to realize that she's here to stay. Buddy is starting to be protective of mom and dads attention especially (did I mention he's a dominant dog) He'll try and route her away as if to say "to get attention from the big dogs you have to go through me"

BUT... bella is very astute. She'll submit to the elders (like any puppy should) but she wont take crap. If buddy or banzai do something she doesn't like she gives them a good growl and some ADORABLE puppy barks (rafrafrafraf) to let them know "I have my limits, don't push me"

She's living up to her breed extreamly well. While she's very nervous about her environment, and us, she's not acting "frightened" per se (she's 11 weeks. thats something like a year and a half in human terms. you cant expect her to be fearless yet regardless of breed). She's definitely bold and confident under pressure.

Oh, and she sleeps straight through the night quietly and peacefuly (thank God)

Great photos. Buddy may go through a period of thinking he needs more attention thing. Give him some at times but not all the time. He will adjust.
He is really a good boy and remember he was the only one for a time. I love the way you two have so much room in your hearts. Very happy for you Dem because you now have your dream child lol.
Thank you for keeping us posted. Can't wait to see the whole gang at the pond pics.

PS it appears to me that Banzai is reveling in the moment at not being the newby now. He has established a I'm number 2 thing:lol-sign:

I'd like to announce that at this point in the day we are breaking even... inside accidents versus outside piddles. For day #2 at 11 weeks I'm pleased with that percentage

Oh believe me... I've noticed her tendency to smell "up" already She's going to get together with buddy and form the "counter surfer" club... we're going to have to get better about cleaning our kitchen counters

And we've not got an "official" weigh in, but with her shipping crate she weighed about 45lbs. So.. we're thinking she's between 30 and 35 lbs... but thats changed in the last 5 minutes, I'm sure.

Oh, you only THINK you've seen counter-surfing yet These dogs have survived for centuries by hunting and opportunistic eating. They are accomplished thieves and sleight-of-jaw artists. And they can hide things in those jowls.
