In my introduction post i remember telling you all a little about my baby boy Apollo. At first i assumed he was a Mutt becuase of his kennel tag that said "hound cross" after people giving me ideas of what he might be, i wanted to try and find out for myself. That night i had seen a dog show that had a dog exactly like my apollo (same color collar even  ) I came acrossed the american foxhound which seems to resemble him in every aspect. Except the only pictures i can find are tri-colored. Apollo is strictly black and white. Do any of you know if there are such things as piebald american foxhounds?

Any help would be appreciated, and i'd like to put up some pictures, what webpage would be best to host pictures from?

Thanks for all of your help so far, hopefully you can help me with this one too

Have you posted any photos of him in the Picture Gallery here?

I looked up the breed standard, and it calls for "any color." There are three types of hounds in this family, the American Foxhound, the English Foxhound and the Harrier. Unfortunately, registration for all three of these breeds is extremely rare in the U.S. They really are a beautiful breed.

No Renee i'm actually getting around to making a webpage dedicated as we speak unforunately my computer isn't being to friendly today :( I will be sure to post the link up as soon as possible. That's what bothered me was it says "any color" yet... it only shows one color when you look up pictures!!
I've never seen a Harrier, and i know he's not an English Foxhound. So far he mostly resembles the American Foxhound pictures.

He looks like this dog in this picture, except for all the light brown on this dog is black on apollo. same markings and everything so now i'm positive that he is an american foxhound Oh, and i also have to add the black spots he has all over his legs and nose
