This walk was for boys only...no girls allowed.

See how the lake is frozen with a little snow on top? This lake is huge. Some of the land you see is islands. The lake meanders around that land and goes on and on in different directions

No, Jose, the camera is not edible. Will you just come on? A Doberman can not be kept waiting.

Why do I always have to come back for you? Eating again? It's only snow!

What on earth is THAT?

Jose' pictures too!!! Your boys have such wonderful land to run and play on. It's kind of nice to get just the guys out....with mom of course, just to record the memories.

I just looked at them again and I just love Jose's little face. Poor patient big brother Lyric....long legged boys must always wait.

Thank you! Jose` is a really cute little dog, very full of personality, very sweet and just a tad timid. He has a funny gait too, maybe due to his screwed up "conformation." When he trots if front of me on a straight line, he is very out of alignment. He is diagonal to the straight line in which he is travelling. When he breaks into a canter or gallop, he straightens out. He also doesn't bend his front leg joint very much so it's this cute little, perky prance. He is suppose to be a purebred Chihuahua (he has AKC "papers" LOL. byb) but I have my doubts. He's about 13 LBS I think. Plus, his whole look is just a tad off. LOL.

Thanks for the replies guys!

Thanks. Yes, beautifully is a word. It's an adverb. "The house was beautifully crafted." Crafted is the verb, the action... and beautifully describes that verb. How was it crafted? Beautifully. I don't know that it can be correctly used with gorgeous. You'd have to ask Tosca'smom. She's the real expert on grammar. However, it's all right with me. It really drives home what you're saying. LOL.

He is a pretty color...."blue." Both my Chi's come from byb, but the girl is much more correct. They both have great little temperaments though. And little Chulita has good enough conformation that she doesn't have the patella problems that poor little Jose` has.

Very nice pics. You live in a very pretty area but way to cold for me. I just can not do snow. Not even for 1 day. When I lived in snow country I would get very depressed. Something about snow and me we do not mix.

What a great area and so beautiful! Do your dogs ever try to venture out onto the ice? My dogs are pretty cautious about it, although I did get some pics of them rolling on the ice (they'll jump in the lake at any temp., as long as it's not frozen solid and trot home with icicles hanging off them, just as happy as can be.)
Jose is a cutie!

No Snark. I would not allow them to even attempt it. They stay pretty much where I walk, except for a little venturing into the woods. My nieces dog fell through the ice on a pond on the golf course once. It was VERY scary. He had difficulty getting out. She almost went in after him. It was not deep, probably up to our waist. But I told her, "NO!" He finally struggled and got himself out. It is cold here, but not cold enough for long enough stretches for me to trust the ice. And it's an enormous lake, very deep in places.

Very nice pics. You live in a very pretty area but way to cold for me. I just can not do snow. Not even for 1 day. When I lived in snow country I would get very depressed. Something about snow and me we do not mix.
Well, you live in Nevada. It's so hot there in summer, I would expire. I'm a cool weather person, having grown up in western Washington...not so cold like here, but....In summer, if it's over about 75-80, I wilt. For me, the snow is so beautiful and it's bright and cheery. The sun shines often and combined with the snow, it's blinding light. That is so not depressing to me. But the snow does stay here a little too long. After several months, I'm ready for the change. I need variety. LOL. I guess it's all about what we get use to.

Wow! Your area is stunning. I love it. The boys are as gorgeous as ever. Adorable!
I personally love snow! I also love summer and swimming, though, too!

I received a formal complaint from your poor innocent girl. She feels that you have performed a discriminatory act by not allowing her to walk. She feels that you have held her down because of her sex. Even as we speak, she is planning a full demonstration, complete with representation from DCLU. That's the Dog Civil Liberties Union. You are in big trouble, woman.

Well, actually, she's lying through her few scrawny teeth that she has left. I didn't get it in writing, (as usual) but she told me that she did not want to go on that walk anyhow because it was too cold that day. I tried to encourage her, but she flat out refused. The other girl is on restriction from off leash walks off of my property because she was naughty. I've explained the name of the game to them many times....that sometimes it's one on one, sometimes it's all of them together, sometimes it's boys only or mother-daughter tea time only. So, if they don't get it, they'll all be on restriction!
