The pups turned a year old on Oct 19, ready for their first Terrier Race on Oct 23 & 24. At first, Spud was a little unsure about running with the muzzle, while OE appears to be a natural. Races again on Nov 6 & 7 and both girls did great, both earning points towards their UKC racing titles. OE even won one semi-final against a really fast adult male who's been tearing up the track, so that was a nice win.

Awesome! One of these days people are going to start catching onto what nice, versatile little sport dogs the AHTs are. I know a woman who does weight pull with hers.

Their breeder has several WP titled dogs. I plan on pulling with one of the girls - they'll do their first fun pull at a Thanksgiving show ...

Congrats! The girls looked great this weekend. OE was a trip to watch.
FYI, I got Kainda used to her muzzle, by flirt poling her with it on. She is now so focused on the lure, that she doesn't even notice she is wearing it.
Are they doing the fun pull at IPOC on that Friday? Do you know what time?
I really need to start Kainda in weight pull, but we have an ADBA show that weekend.
Hopefully, next year when they get the terrier race/weight pull events going.
Now we just need to get some AHT into flyball! :D

Thanks Carla!

They will be setting up the fun pull Friday afternoon but they aren't sure on the time ... I'll be there for confo, so I'll surely try it out! I need to get my Collie girl back out there too. She had to stop pulling after being spayed (since she's older the vet wanted me to rest her for awhile to be sure everything healed well) and then it got hot and I got lazy, so we've done nothing.

I think Spud would be a good Flyball candidate - she runs much better when she's not wearing the muzzle and she's a pretty good retriever.
