The “freshmen would like to thank youâ€
It only seems appropriate that my 200th post in just over 72 hours would FINALLY be a thread starter LMAO. And what better thread to be my first, than one that expresses my gratitude to all the members of Chaz.
I think I can speak for all the “freshman converts†when I say that a kinder, warmer and more lighthearted bunch of folks is likely not to be found on any other internet forum, than here at chazhounds. You all have opened your arms wide, to a huge influx of strangers and that isn’t an easy thing to do. I am ashamed to admit that if the tables were turned, I might not be quite as welcoming as so many of you have been, and I certainly would be concerned about the future of my forum.
Change is not an easy thing, and with ANY new member comes potential changes, yet alone with a dozen or more new members at once who all “happen to know one anotherâ€. I assure you that despite my joking about “bad eggsâ€â€¦ there isn’t a single one in the dozen of us and I hope we will all be able to learn and grow from one another. I have already learned few things in my short time here from all of you at Chaz. And heck, I have even learned quite a few things NOT related to dogs including:
*what chicken races are and their potential to be a good fundraising activity:lol-sign:
*amazingly enough, people in this country really DO still use the term “Dullardâ€
*and the deodorant “AXE†truly lives up to its commercials and if you wear it, you might get someone to lean in and give a “sniffâ€.
SO I just want to extend my sincere appreciation and I hope I speak for the rest of the “freshmen converts†when I say that we will do our best to make you NOT REGRET that in the Fall of 2007, there was a BIG freshman rush at Chaz.
Freshmen, since I didn't ask you for input, before I spoke on your behalf (LMAO), feel free to add anything I left out that you might want to say to these nice folks.
