She's still doing really well at her breeder's. She did have a litter, and the puppies are super cute!!

Anyway, I'm forwarding an update from her breeder, she wants it crossposted as much as possible. The girl that abused Tribute so horribly has come back to her internet dog forums and is trying to squirm her way back into the dog showing/breeding world. Tribute's breeder doesn't want her story forgotten. She wants all breeders to be aware of what happened to the beautiful loving dog she sent to live with this person, who was returned covered in fleas, open sores, and scars after living outside on a choke chain 24/7 for months.

Here's Tribute's story for those not familiar. Robert was the man who found her running on the highway. I was the one who tracked down her breeder and gave her a heads up.

So if you ever get an inquiry from Brittany Linder, DO NOT SELL OR ADOPT.

Here's a link to the breeder's facebook page as well. There are puppeh pictures!

Yeah, the folks with bull terrier rescue and the bull terrier club were astonished someone would stop and pull a bully out of traffic like that. Luckily he has a huge soft spot for bullies of any kind, and enough sense not to listen to media hype.

Wow, poor girl! I'm so glad your hubs was in the right place at the right time and got her returned. I too was wondering how you got in touch with her breeder.

When the owners called to claim her, I asked them to describe her facial markings so I would know it was the right person. When I took her by the shelter to get scanned for a chip and file a found report, a really creepy guy kept asking if I was dropping her off and wanted to buy her for $100.

Anyway, I wanted to make sure it wasn't him putting someone up to calling to claim her. The caller couldn't describe her facial marking. It's that white blaze with pink by her nose, on a brindle dog. Not that hard.

You know what she said?

"How am I supposed to know what her face looks like? Do you know how many dogs I have?"

:yikes:

So I asked if she had a picture because I wouldn't release her to anyone without proof of ownership, and told her flat out that not being able to describe a distinctive facial marking was VERY weird to me. She directed me to Brittany's myspace page, where there was a picture of Tribute and in the caption it said her breeder's name. aHA! So I sent all the photos we took to the breeder, along with the info we learned from the owner (that she was kept out on choke chains all night, etc.). And she made it safely to her real home.
