:yikes: so, the day we all stuff ourselves till we look like turkeys ourselves is almost here... and this will the Thunder and cinni's first turkey day to share with us, and i am sooo excited, because they are getting so big, we weighed thunder yesterday and he is already about 35lbs, and cinni is just under 30lbs..

so, what i would like to know is for all those who have already done the holidays for the pups, what did you let them do and have? will be it be the whole 9 yards , or will it be the scraps?

we plan on letting them try ham ( they have done well with hot dogs, chicken and fish), then we will try some veggies.

so, let me know what everyone plans on doing for their pups and how involved they will be..

I mix turkey, potatoes (mashed or sweet), peas, and a small bit of homemade gravy (no onion or onion powder used) and they have that for dinner... they LOOOOVE it.

This will be Armani's first thanksgiving, I cant wait!

This will be Scooter & Marley's first Thanksgiving with us, and will be Sammy's first Thanksgiving in this house. We always give our pets a small bite of the leftovers... ham and veggies mostly.

I would not do too much on the gravy as gravy is fatty and may cause them to have not so nice tummies or poops the next day--honey and wrigley will get a taste of pretty much everything whatever we decide to do.

i am so going out to find some tums for doggies??? do u think they even make them.. no, but all joking aside i will make sure it is light gravy and not so much of it, they will prob eat more of the good stuff, my dad does boiled shrimp all peeled and stuff then we do a big ham and turkey with ALL the trimmings and such then of course we do dessert, but, do not worry i will be getting Doggie desserts for them, like treats from Wal-mart or something that tastes like ice cream or something LOL,

that is soo great everyone seems to involve their babies... OH WHAT FUN

Leo will be in doggy daycare that day and overnight Thanksgiving night. He'll have Canidae while he's there, because we'll send it with him. That's all he's getting.

aww but its thanksgiving day, what fun would it be without the pups getting some kind of treat, besides i think they deserve it after all the love and attention and so on that they give us thru out the year ;).. it is kinda like saying thanks for giving all year long, besides us humans do it all the time, what is the harm in a few goodies on special occasions :)

mine get some turkey (cooked), and a little stuffing after we are done eating. I don't give too much or they get sick. They'll get a little extra something though they won't just get their dog food when we get all the yummy stuff.

I think I could feed anything to Ollie too .....but when Hunter's here it's a different story !!! You'd think that a huge lab could have a few scraps !!! Wrong !!

sounds like that us people are not the only ones who are stuffing are selves this year LOL... but i do agree with some, we are not going to over do it, we want our babies to be healthy, but, they deserve treats just as much as we do, besides, they eat the same food day in and day out, so the way i see it is that they deserve to be given a break a few times a year LOL

Happy stuffing everyone :)

Hannah gets like that a lot too. She just licks something that doesn't agree with her and we're up taking her out every hour!
