Thank you for this. We can't do this on our square...you know.

And this is another terrible story.

He was a brave police dog with great honor. He'd helped the police to crack 34 criminal cases. He was born in 1996, and his name was Feisheng.

He was a hero, but he didn't die in any fight against criminal. He was just killed by the police, for a ridiculous reason!

He was once shocked by a bullet( which passed by his ear) during a training, and couldn't work anymore, in other words, he was useless now.

The Police Museum of Beijing happened to want a specimen of a police dog then, and they chose Feisheng.

He was taken to the vet hospital of Beijing Zoo on April 16th, 2001. He didn't wanna go with the vets. And then Mr Yang, his trainer(I guess), ordered him to go into the cage, but he knew everything, and didn't move. Mr Yang pulled him in and when yang was locking the cage, Feisheng put his head into yang's bosom and cried .

Mr yang bought a bag of dog food and went to the zoo hospital with his wife. They found the cage which Feisheng was in, but they couldn't get in. Yang cried outside and Feisheng barked inside. When people came to the cage next morning, they found a half bag of dog food and many cigarette butts on the floor.

Yang stayed down alone tearfully by Feisheng's body on the open day of the Police Museum. Now Feisheng is a specimen for citizens to see, and under his body, there's a literature of his brave stories for everybody to remenber. But, he is dead now.

I find it's an old story(it was 2001), but I hear it for the first time. Anyway, would it be the last terrile story here?

And you know what? He was dissected ALIVE. They took out his inside when he was alive.

You know why? Well, it's the same reason why people skin animals ALIVE for fur.

BTW, for all I know, it's not dogs and cats, but racoons and foxes and other fur animals.

(I'm sorry my English is poor, hope you can understand what I'm talking about)

St. Bernards are raised to be eaten in China also...and before they skin them they will beat the **** out of them to increase their adrenaline levels because it makes the meat taste sweeter.....That's just flipping sick.....but I eat cows and chickens and pigs and lambs....so....I guess I am not that much better.

There are so many people in china who are against those things. But it's not easy.

I can understand Mr. Yang, who's Feisheng's trainer. He had to do that, he just had no choice. And if he didn't, others would do it, and big punishment would wait for him.

I know in HK, which now is a part of our country, such terrible things are forbidden, and it's not permitted to sold dog meat. I guess we shouldn't have two different policies on these things.

I heard that some people(commissioners or sth)were suggesting the government to make a law to forbid abusing animals in today's TV program. I don't know whether it's the result of the demonstrating against skinning-animals-alive, ya know our media will never mention those things, I knew about the demonstrating thing through internet. But I guess IT IS the result of that, though I don't know whether it will work.

Hope so.

BTW, I also saw it in those pictures that there were some people seemed like the members of some religion which is pronounced illegal in China. I understand it is a terrible religion. It requires its votaries not to have any medicines and treatment when they're ill. One of my relatives believed it before she died. I'm wondering what do you think about it? I'm just curious.

Are you talking about Scientology?

And thank you so much for sharing your insights. We are on the outside, so we can only guess and speculate about what goes on in countries where we are told there is limited freedom to communicate.

It always amazes me that a civilization with many roots in the teachings of Buddha can also be so cruel, but I suppose that is the way of humans; we are not very good at being kind.

The internet is a wonderful tool, isn't it? :)
