You have helped our shelter out. Today we pulled animals from the pound. Everyone was very excited about the cutest little Great Dane mixed puppy. I finally got to see her and lo and behold, it wasn't a Great Dane! It was a baby Zeus! Thats right, a wonderful 4 month old Blackmouth Cur has made it's way to our shelter.
I showed everyone this forum and Zeus and we all agreed that is what she was. Because of this forum, I was able to correctly identify the breed and avoid adopting her out to a home that may be perfect for a Great Dane, but all wrong for a Blackmouth.
Incidentally, she is tatooed in one of her ears, but the tatoo is so bad we cant' read it. So she is purebred cur.

She has an intake photo, but it hasn't been taken off the camera yet. I have a family who has had curs in the past very interested, so fingers crossed. I'll try to get a few pics friday.
She is so sweet, but she is going to be huge! Her paws fill my hand.
