I was concerned once I began reading the post, but then it throw me for a loop too. I really do not consider any of this funny. We older people can not handle, insane stuff like this. Sure, you felt it was a joke, and felt you could express it!

But you should be ashamed of yourself for being so heartless, not only for the dogs aspect, but us true animal lovers. :yikes:

oh cummon guys. i didn't find it funny either. but a bad joke doesn't mean someone doesn't love their dog.
i make light of things that stress me. maybe he was doign the same thing. just back off every now and again. i'm just beginning to see why so many people leave chaz. its a great forum, but someone puts one step wrong and they get attacked by most people. get the full story before you accuse everyone

Gotta agree with mrose. While this wasn't funny, it doesn't mean that he doesn't love his dog or that he doesn't have a heart.
Lets just forget about it, eh?

Cass.

Ok, this might sound harsh, but too often I think this forum has a large degree of prepubescent kids treating it like a chat room and not a serious, adult forum where we gather to discuss the welfare and lives of our dogs. It's starting to peeve me a bit, especially when this kind of rubbish pops up.

Sure, maybe it is the kind of thing that would be funny to a 12-year-old, and that's fine. Everyone has their place and I have NO problem with that. I do have a problem when I think that someone has lost their dog and I take the time to read the post, and find out it's a lame gag meant to entertain fellow teenagers.

Sorry, but it just irritated me. I know now who amongst a few people here's posts I can stay away from. Other young members of ours have a great deal of maturity and respect, and I enjoy their input, but this kind of thing really gets up my nose.

Maybe he'll think differently about this if he ever has a pet that really does escape and get hit by a car! I'm sorry, I really can't see how someone could make a joke about their beloved pet dyeing so horribly!!
I can't agree more, especially considering that is how he lost a dog not too long ago to THAT very thing happening.

NOT funny at all.

I agree it was NOT funny. :( I know you meant no harm but that is not something to joke about! Just recently someone close to me lost a dog that way and that "joke" hits very close to home. :(

I understand it was just a joke, but things like this hit close to home for a lot of people. Have you ever seen a dog get hit by a car? It's something you never forget, and that's why its not funny. I was truly worried for you, and I have to admit that I feel a little...um... betrayed (for lack of a better word). But oh, well. Forgive, but not forget ;)

I agree...
there has been several recent 'immature' posts lately that seem to easily annoy me. I'm not one to judge by age, some of our "best" members are under 18, but the others... *sigh*

It's hard to take anything they say seriously, when something like this is posted ;) Sorry, but that's how I feel. Again, forgive but not forget

I agree. . .it's extremely traumatic and terrifying. . .something that will never fully leave me. It's still so vivid. . .that's the reason I was shocked someone would make a joke out of something like that.

I wasn't offended by it but . . . if you're going to tell a joke, you should try to make it, you know, funny.

Ok I just have to post on this!

I am 14 and WOULD NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER post something like this!!

I know it was ment to be a joke but even to me (a fellow teenage) it WASNT funny at all. I know that no harm was ment, but like a lot of people said a dog getting hit is a very very icky thing, I have witnessed it and it still bothers me to think back and picture that dog when it was shocked by the feeling on a big car coming and hitting it... have you ever been HIT!?

Think about other people on the forum before you post next time, this is a VERY serious matter, that hits COLSE TO HOME!!

I know no harm was ment, but if this happen to you before how could you joke about it happening? I would think that you would know the pain to causes! To you and TO THE DOG!

Anyways, some people will just never see, I am happy I can consider myslef one of those mature teeagers on the forums! :)
