Teeny is in the hospital.

Ok guys we need prayers and lots of them.
I'm sorry I have to ask but I just can't lose another one!!!

Teeny is VERY sick. Her temp jumped up at 106.5, and her white blood
cell count was at 42,000. Which is extremely high the vet said.
Xrays show her chest cavity is full of fluid. Fluid not in her lungs
but in the chest itself. They wanna do a surgery on her to remove the
fluid but can't till they get her temp down and WBC back to normal.
We won't know anything for a couple of days. She was so awful when I
got her there. My regular vet sent her to this hosp. That has more
rescources to treat her with. She was having trouble breathing and
felt sooo doggone hot!! She couldn't even stand up for too long, her
little body was just limp!!! I am so scared.
They have started her on a very strong iv antibiotic and are giving
her nebulizer treatments to help her breath. I will keep you all
posted.

How old is Teeny and how did she get so sick?

Teeny is 7 months old tomorrow and she has been sick ever since we got her. She has been on 3 different kinds of antibiotics and it has just not been good enough!!! She started getting bad again last night and got really bed this mornin.
She has literally been on medicine for 38 days and is now on IV's

Has the vet been able to ascertain what the problem is exactly? You don't mention what the problem is....

I have tried contacting the breeder, everything short of going back to her place!!! and have gotten no results!!

Teeny started out with a terrible cough, 1 day after we got her. We got her on a Sat. and had her at the vet on Mon. Her tonsils were swollen and she had a horrible cough. She was on antibiotic for 2 weeks, Took her in to get her spayed after she finished her medicine and she wasn't any better, really a little worse. Still coughing a little snotty nose, and had lost 6 ounces. So my vet wouldn't do the surgery and put her on a different kind of antibiotic. She was on that for a week and got alot worse. She was snotty, eyes watering, coughing, and doing what the vet called a reverse sneeze. So he gave her the strongest oral form of antibiotic he could and also added a cough med. We also got her a humidifier and kept that going at all times. She finished this medicine and went for a checkup and was actually better, still had a slight cough. He then thought it might be some kinda allergy since she still had the cough, so he gave her a shot.
That was this past Saturday and she was doing fine until Wednesday. She started coughing Badly again and she was back to the snotty nose and watery eyes. Called the vet and he started her back on antibiotic again and the humidifier was turned back on. But it was a very restless night, and Yesterday morning Her temp started going up and she started having trouble breathing. By the time I got her to the hospital, she was really bad!!
The Dr. hasn't said too much other than she has a really bad bacteria infection somewhere and she has alot of fluid on her chest. She is expecting to have to do a surgery on Teeny to drain the fluid. But won't put her under anesthetic until she is better, as she felt it too dangerous otherwise.
I am on my way over there to see her and talk with the Dr. more. Daddy took the day off so he could go too, And he says he doesn't have a tender heart, Bologny!!! I did talk to the Dr. Last night and She said Teeny was doing Much better. She was still coughing but the fever was down and she was eating and alot more alert. Actually had been squealing out a few times. I forgot to tell them she was VERY spoiled, I pretty much hold her All The time. Oopps!!!

Teeny is home and doing well. She is a little trooper. She has some oral medicine she has to take and the vet gave her 3 injections of medicine and I have to give her nebulizer treatments 2 times a day for 10 days and then we will check her again.She lays down in my lap and puts her little nose right up to the nebulizer like she knows it's there to help.

I also heard from the breeder, Of course we had an email war. She says Teeny being sick is all my fault,cuz she never was coughing BEFORE she left her place. She said she wouldn't reemberse me for vet bills but she would take Teeny back if that is what I wanted. First off I never asked her for ANY money. And I wouldn't give that woman any kind of animal, let alone my baby back. She actually told me she had 52 puppies on the ground right now. How terriable is that? And that she is mixed breeding, to get the new "designer" dogs. The Puggles to be exact. ERRRRRRRR

I'm really sorry to hear that Teeny is sick. It's terrible for a young puppy like that to go through something like that. I know you must be worried sick... but she's lucky to have you! Good luck with her!!! I will keep her in my thoughts these next 10 days. Do keep us updated!

Teeny Update!!

Teeny is doing great, As a matter of factI am sitting here typing and trying to keep her from chewing on my toes. This morning I have wrestled her for, My pants leg, my toes, nose, and fingers, the newspaper(that daddy left laying in the floor ) The clean laundry I had just folded, The leash she pulled off of the nail from the back porch, The skirts on the bottom of the couch, chair, and loveseat, Yep all 3, Rosco's Tail and ears, and every toy she has taken away from Mini and hid in her crate. Sound like she is getting better to you?

Also I had to have a "discussion" With Mini about not putting all the toys up on the couch. Cuz even though she feels better Teeny cannot jump up there yet. Can you beleive I think I actually seen Mini roll her eyes at me!

I am ready for a nap!!

52 puppies on the ground, eh? Maybe you should try calling the USDA. Ten to one she doesn't have a license and with that many puppies she is wholesaling. I'd like to see that woman SHUT DOWN before she does anymore damage.
