Pompadour had some ugly tear stains, I tried many things to stop it like giving him bottled water, a corn freed kibble, cleaning the are 2 times a day and it didn't worked.

So my handler recommended angel eyes, it took me a while to get a bottle but I'm impressed wit the product :D, in a few days the tear stains are gone :hail:

Looks good, but you are aware the active ingredient in angel eyes in an antibiotic. Something not meant for forever use..

There's a new natural version that doesn't contain the antibiotic. Auntie hev has used it with good use on her guys, much safer to use long term. Using an antibiotic long term will cause a resistance.

There is one brand of probiotic that apparently was found to reduce staining as well. The few clients we've sold it to have reported good things (we just recently got it in)

Can you give me the name of that brand? Kassie's eyes have been doing great for the past year *knock on wood* but she's on probiotic for her colitis and if the tearing starts again, I'd love to use that brand.

Plus I have one client who obsesses over her malitese's tear stains and has him on angel eye. I can understand putting them on it for short periods of time for something like getting them ready for show, but this is her pet and she's more concerned about the tearing than the dog's health.

Pompadour is looking fabulous, as usual. Can't wait to see him in his full continental cut!

Thanks!

Yes I heard about the antibiotic :) , in the site says he should have it daily until the stains disappears.

After that I just going to give him like 2 times in a month or some days before a show, we have few shows theres like 2 or 3 months distance for every show, last year we only had 3 shows in the hole year. :(

Mandypug I saw online the natural version but sadly I haven't see it on sell, any of the angel eyes products are very hard to find.

Angel Eyes scares me. Antibiotic use is taken way way too lightly these days. No wonder we have all these superbugs.

I was under the impression that all probiotics will help with tear stains, not just one specific one.

He has a spoon of yogurt like every two days, and that didn't work at least the ones on yogurt didn't help on him. :(

Maybe that's the reason why Kassie hasn't had stains in so long. I never associated to her probiotics.

Sapphire, they are specific probiotics given in capsules made for dogs. I use proviabe-DC, but I'm sure they must have other brands there where you live.

I have a feeling that they probably do, but this might be one that a company took some sort of note of. Prostora, I think.

I see thanks, I'm not sure if they have them at the shops but can I use probiotics for humans?

I couldn't find salmon oil for dogs so he gets instead some GNC capsules. ;)

I'm not sure, I wouldn't know what dosage would be ok for a small dog vs a human.
