Tear stained maltese

I have two maltese that have terrible brown tear stains under their eyes. I have tried a few different products, angel eyes (a powder that goes in the food), eye wipes, tear stain "remover" (yeah right) and other things. Since we have a grooming shop here, I usually resort to using our tiny blade to shave the brown out. I am trying to grow my Scrappy's hair longer, and this looks so funny with the shaved under eye area. Any suggestions on what to use to rid the stains? I know a few customers that also would like to find a good product. Thanks!

This site has some great tips. My mom has tried a few of them on her maltese, and it's worked quite well.

We get in a lot of tear stained dogs in to the grooming shop.

There isn't much else you can do other then wash it DAILY.

Maybe use a Whitener shampoo in that area to help decrease it as well weekly.
