and it was so much bloody fun, it was six hours ago but I am still beaming. It amazes me how much the dogs can learn in an hour.

We went through a lot of stuff and by the end of the class we were doing a small routine of going over a jump through the tunnel and onto the table, its nothing pretty, but it was happening :)

The best part was Teagan was having so much fun she was just beaming!! I am so glad she has good toy drive, it makes it so much easier to make it fun and get her to do what I want her to do.

We had a funny moment went Teagan instead of going into the tunnel she decided to jump on top of it and run on top of it as well. That was a funny moment, everyone laughed.

She loves the ramp, she just runs up that thing like its the best thing in the world.

Lets hope next weekend comes by fast because that's went our next class is :)

Watch out agility can be sort of addicting!

It's fun to get dogs over the obstacles and everything but if you think you might really want to get into it, you'll definitely be wanting to do foundation work. There's lots of info online about foundation skills and tons of youtube videos. You'll probably need to do it on your own at home, since it doesn't seem like many places offer it and obviously where you're going does not. But hey, it gives you "agility homework" to practice between classes!

Oh and Savvy LOVES to jump onto the tunnel. He's a bit of a nut about it. Jumped off of it over his puppy agility instructor's head last week :yikes:

So glad you both had such a good time. It is such a great thing to do with your dog....and such a good bonding thing. It sounds like Teagan is a natural. Lyric's favorite thing was the tunnel. He'd race through it and do a U turn, zoom through it again and then again. He had everyone laughing. I didn't have the heart to explain to him that he is suppose to go through the course and that doesn't mean back and forth through the tunnel. lol.

Yes, this thread needs pictures! Maybe next time. (?)

Glad you and Teagan had such a good time! I know it's hard to take pictures while in class - maybe you can bribe someone to come along next time? Are the classes indoors or outdoors?

Riley's last class (for this session) is this Wednesday but the instructor is going to squeeze in another short session before the holidays, so we're signing up again. :)

A good training class is like a natural high, I love it. Sounds like Teagan and you are going to have a ball! Dogs with toy drive are the awesome.

The agility class I want to take has a waiting list, which I'm on but it doesn't seem to be moving

So glad you and Teagan had a great first class :D I remember my first class... it was so much fun!

There is a Cocker Spaniel in our class that has jumped and ran on top of the tunnel once. Harleigh has jumped over it before, I think it would collapse if she tried to run on top of it :D

I'm sad though - our last class before winter break is December 12th, we're going to miss it! However, I'm asking for my dad to build me some agility equipment for Christmas so we'll be able to keep on practicing.

I'm sure you can't wait until your next class. We're heading to ours in a couple hours, Harleigh is already getting ready to go. LOL

Wait... was it Maddie? :rofl1: She totally did this! She jumped over it, too... a little over enthusiastic, I think ;)
