I'd go with two pawprints and the quote...or just the pawprints...or just the quote...

But like Sis said, make sure to find an artist that's really good at lines, and pick the font carefully...

I have a paw print tattoo on my ankle...a bunch of us from the rescue group got them as an anniversary thing...I also have a rose on my hip.
