Taste of food getting old to your dogs?

This would happen to my dogs, liek after teh first bag of food the dogs would seem to lift there nose at it.

I thought they must of just got tired of teh food and be like BACK to teh drawing board.

Then I did some research and found that YOU should wash out your dog food container every time you get a new bag.

I guess over time fat from teh kibble stays on teh sides of containers and over time makes any food in there taste BLAH.

Also (never new this) but I guess getting a AIR tight container is best to keep teh food fresh, which I guess does make sense hehe. (we use "Vittle Vualts")

We now clean the container after every bag and have not had problems with teh dogs not eating there food since YAAAA

So if your dog seems to be getting tired of teh taste, maybe try cleaning out there food container and even buying a air tight one and not give up on a certain type of food because of it.

Amazing, isn't it . . . how something that thinks carrion is absolutely delicious will be picky over whether or not kibble tastes fresh!

Balto's talking about the actual container that you pour your dog's food out of.... not the food and water bowls... but the container for the big bag of food. =)

We also use a Vittles Vault, but because we only have to buy 6lb bags we just put the entire bag in there.

You're lucky if you get away with a couple of times/week. We have to wash our puppies bowl after every meal.
