A few pictures from today :)

Explaining to Spanky what she's supposed to do - get the ball.

She takes some convincing...

But she finally realizes she can take the plunge!

But her little mouth has trouble getting the ball and her face just keeps pushing it under water lol

Little bit of a stack

Ruger decided she'd show her how it's done without hesitation, but my son was just happy he'd get in the pool with him :)

Ruger LOOOVES fetch... even if it's only a few feet into the pool hehe

Throw it!!!

Thank you :)

Ruger hasn't done any conditioning for almost two years, because of his hips :( He hasn't even been allowed to play fetch for the last 6 months or so, the poor ball-monster :'( And even then, we never did more than a lot of fetch and training for agility/flyball. He liked to run on the treadmill when he was a pup. He's just a naturally muscular dog :)

Spanky is so cute! Poor little thing. And Ruger is very handsome... I love his ears.

Thanks yall! :) I'm pretty sure Spanky pretends to not be able to grab the ball on purpose, because she just dunks her head for the fun of it most of the time lol She's a crazy little thing!

Renee - Collin HATES water. He thinks it's funny if I spray the hose over him, but trying to bathe him with the hose or getting him into a standing body of water is a huge NO GO. Which sucks.. I love water dogs :(

Mine have all hated baths and hoses with a passion, but once they got into a pool or creek it was ON, lol, even putting their heads under. It was fun to watch Kharma and Shiva take turns playing, one would lay in the water and put her head under and snort bubbles while the other one garfed the bubbles.

Give him time and let him see the other dogs having a blast in the pool. I've yet to hear of a Fila who didn't like getting in the water, sometimes it just takes a bit for them to decide . . . especially if they think you might have some ulterior motive -- like a bath.

Very cute. Nothing like a little boy and his dogs.

By the way my Fila hates the water but we have never taken him to a creek or river. I have no clue if the rescue we recently got likes water. Its been to dang hot and now we are under water restrictions because of the drought. She was pretty skittish when we got her but is becoming more like a Fila everyday.

He's been to the creek with two bostons who adore the water... but he was much more interested in cuddling with my S.O.

He's just an oddball. Oh well! lol
