Doberluv. They have been reported. The Saskatchewan SPCA came here and made them get rid of the dog houses that were outside and they were the ones that made them put black pavement in. They have been reported numerous times and each time they fire the manager, make a minor change to something and hire a new, even less qualified manager and it starts all over. I just don't know what to do. A friend of mine worked there for a few months. She told me about all the stuff that went on there and so she quit because she couldnt stand it anymore. We made up 6 page complaint, including all the wrong-doings etc, and sent it to them. They came, had a look and left. Nothing was ever done about it. I mean the manager at that time beat the dogs, put dogs down "just because he didn't like them", kept the aggressive ones to try and adopt out. The whole SPCA thing just makes me sick to my stomach and there is nothing I can do about it. We have tried and failed.

Another story about them is,

A lady phoned me and asked if I could help her. There were two toy poodles up the alley from her that were both tethered, tangled together, matted to the skin, an old tractor tire that had been tipped over for shelter (that was full of water), they had to drink the dirty water from the tire, emaciated, so dirty you couldnt tell what color they were etc. She phoned the SPCA here numerous times and nothing was ever done. She finally went and talked to the lady that owned the dogs herself. She told her that obviously she didn't want the dogs and that if she would give them up to her that would be a great thing. The lady got the owner to sign a paper stating that she had given her dogs up, the owner went inside and got the unused leashes and a few crumbles of old dog food and gave her dogs up. The lady that took the dogs couldn't keep them so she took them straight to the SPCA. She paid the $40 for each dog to have them surrendered and told the SPCA what had went on. They took the letter saying that the woman had given them up (unfortunately she never took a copy of it). The next day, the original owner was literally banging on this lady's front door. When she anwered it the owner tore a strip off of her saying that she had her dogs back and that she had stolen her dogs etc etc. The lady that had taken the dogs to the SPCA phoned them and asked them what was going on. The manager then proceeded to ream her out. She told her she had no business stealing peoples animals and that she gave them back. The lady then decided to phone the Sask SPCA and tell them what was going on only to be told off by them as well. Here the SPCA manager had already phoned the head SPCA and told them that this poor lady and stolen these dogs just in case she phoned. She told the head SPCA that she never stole the dogs, and that she had pictures and video of these two dogs in deplorable conditions, but they didnt want to hear it. Turns out the owner of the two dogs was friends with the SPCA manager.

No she didn't get a chance to keep a copy of the paper. The manager from the SPCA took her only copy.
