Well, for goodness sakes, we can still READ.... Though

A disconcerting report, released this morning from researchers at the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research in Chandigarh, India, revealed that people who talk on a cell phone for more than an hour a day were found to have suffered losses of high-frequency hearing.
You have to wonder who talks on their cell phone more than an hour a day. I don't even use my landline that much. I might use the cell phone for an hour in a whole year, though...

Heck Nolu I know people who have the thing glued to their ear.
I figure I should have added to my post "teenage girls don't count." I don't know any adults who have it glued to their ear. All I have to do is get stuck in rush hour traffic to see how many girls who are under 20 driving with phones glued to their ears.. it's insane.

When my generation gets old, we're all going to be deaf. I probably already made myself partially deaf by using my iPod.

I have news for ya.....

by the time any generation gets old they will probably be half deaf ;) it's part of getting old.... and sticks with my theory about husbands.... it's a mans reward for surviving marriage for so many years.... he gets to be deaf and live out the rest of his life in peace and quiet :D i bet that's what my grandpa would say lol

nope..don't buy it. you'd be more likely to suffer hearing loss from operating power tools, the lawn mower, playing the radio too loud (especially in the car), etc. noise is the common cause of high frequency hearing loss. damage is caused when you are subjected to noise over 130db., and most concerts we attend are direct assaults on your hearing. anytime your ears ring..there could be damage. now...maybe there's something to that study, but believe me...everyday noise is going to harm you (and most of that you can't control) more than a cell phone.
