The store that I used to buy Canidae from does not sell it anymore.:yikes: I was pretty shocked about it. They told us dogs were getting sick from it and they had to many complaints from customers so they will no longer carry anything from Canidae. They had a huge customer base that bought Canidae I wonder if they (Canidae) are feeling the affects of this.

Agreed.

Though I am going to use the coupons they sent me today and donate the food to the shelter - they must be looking to drum up more money, because they sent me gobs of canidae coupons.

I'll only use the ones for free food though - SO can feed the Felidae to his farm kittens (actually his neighbor's farm kittens, but he's been feeding them for weeks). The dog food... I dunno what I'll do with the dog food. Shelter maybe.

I emailed Canidae weeks ago and I have not gotten a response. I guess I never will but all of this just reassures me that my decision to take the dogs off of it was right.

Our store is most likely doing the same thing. I've already started warning Canidae customers of the product changes and that we probably won't be carrying it much longer, and to be prepared for a switch.

New formula...

Last week I went to the store to pick up some food, ( I have been feeding Canadie for quite some time now) I noticed the bag didn't seem as large or as heavy. I looked at the weight and sure enough it was 15 lbs instead of 20 lbs, but the price was about the same:mad:That's an increase from about $1.00/lb to almost $1.50/lb. So far Bella has been doing just fine on the new formula, apparently many dogs are not. Not real happy about the price increase.

UGH/ I detest when companies do that---it's almost deceitful. Raise the price a couple of dollars if needed, but changing the content size and packaging to fool me ticks me off.
