Is the puppy staying hydrated? Make sure she's getting lots of water. If she won't drink very much try giving her ice cubes. Some dogs really love licking ice cubes and it's a good way to keep her hydrated!

No such thing as a teacup chihuahua. Chihuahuas have no minimum size in their breed standard so "regular" chis can stay quite tiny.

How long have you had your puppy? Is she usually pretty regular with pooping? Is she eating normally?

Are you sure about her age? Did you get her from a reliable source? I only ask because a lot of bad breeders sell "Teacup Chihuahuas" that are actually just very young chis, way too young to be leaving the breeder's. I knew of one owner who bought a chi from the breeder thinking it was 8 weeks old, but actually it was FOUR weeks old :yikes: WAAAAAY too young to leave mamma. But that could also explain constipation.

Have you taken her to the vet since you've had her?

How many times a day are you feeding her?

You could always try this, but most chis are too cold-natured to appreciate ice cubes. My chi, Luna, likes warm chicken broth. ;)

Her birthday is Jan. 17.... excuse me for not being correct to the second every time I post. I have noticed alot of people in this forum can be a bit uptight and judgemental why can't we just love our dogs to bits and have friendly convo's with each other? Oh and don't worry, my vet made a house call, Lilly is just fine and 8 weeks old TODAY...Geeeze

8 1/2 weeks old today, LOL.

Yeah, Chazzers can be really uptight about a lot of things. In this case, though, it IS actually kind of important.... There are HUGE differences between 6-week-old puppies and 8-week-old puppies, especially in such a tiny breed. I mean, 2 weeks is 1/4 of her life! Kind of amazing how far she's come in only 60 days, and at this age she's still quite delicate in a lot of ways. The advice we'd give someone with a 6-week-old is going to be very different than the advice we'd give for an 8 or even 10 week old.
