:rofl1: :rofl1: :rofl1: That's certainly my vote.

He's such a wonderful dorky boy!
LOL he a wonderful dorky boy!

Well so far, I've had no takers on a fun loving but slightly sketchy Malinois. Well I had one taker but she was too crazy for me to send him with :rofl1: She said things to me like "I've met plenty of Malinois other people couldn't handle but never one I couldn't" and "If you want what is best for this dog, you'd give him to me. No one else will be able to do as much for this dog as I could". Also she would have no issues having him with another same age male Mal puppy because "she's the alpha and they all know it". Then she let her adult dog scare him and told me that if she took him, her neighbor wants another Mal too, so he'd either live with her or her neighbor. Umm yeah...no.

I started him in puppy agility class last week and he did so well! He doesn't mind the instructors holding him on leash for restrained recalls or tunnel work, he just obsesses over where I went. He's actually come a long way since I got him overall. He's much more confident in general and very happy. He can be around strangers without giving them a second thought, doesn't care about crowds and overall has pretty good environmental confidence. But he still snaps and/or muzzle punches if strangers try to pet him. Once he knows someone, he never forgets them and they can do anything to him. My co-workers lead him around by the collar, scold him for being a bad puppy, surprise him touching him from behind and can pick him up (well not so much any more I think he's 40lbs now LOL) and he's accepting of all of that. He really is a very good boy considering the situation he came from.

He is a good Stick Dog

Eeeeek more pictures! :D You do not post enough pictures of him! I want to reach into the computer and hug him.

If I didn't have so many people all up in my dog's faces on walks every time I step out... My clicker trainer (who is an agility trainer) even has a puppy foundations for agility class going right now lol. So tough being patient for a future stick dog!

Yay! Brown Stick Dog!!

He's looking great, love the "wet" expression. I SO wanted to get Female Brown Stick Dog in water this summer, but I keep forgetting. Maybe today is the day, it IS still 100 degrees out here.

I vote for keepage. He's got you hooked. :)

LOL it's not hard for me to fall for a boy Belgian or shepherd dog. I love boy dogs and all their dorkiness!

He is Roust and he is a Brown Stick Dog. Roust the Brown Stick Dog :)

He is still available to the right home, I'm just really picky about what that right home is. I have had some very...interesting people ask about him. I won't send him to someone who wants a "pet temperament Malinois" because to me, that isn't him. He's not social, he's drivey and he's used to having an active life. I hesitate to send him to someone looking for their next protection sport dog because I want him to have a home no matter what and can't guarantee he will be a great protection sport dog. And I don't want him to go to someone who's a force based trainer because force based trainers tend to have this idea that Mals like him "will just need a firmer hand" (and yes I have already been told that a few times). He's a sweet, lovey dog with his people and very eager to please, he certainly doesn't need the Cesar Milan treatment. Basically, I don't want him in a situation where his issue could get worse and then I have to take him back with him not being as good as he is now. That happened to me with a very guardy Black Dog I rehomed and I'd rather he stay here than go through that again with another dog. She had two failed rehomes and after each one her guardyness got worse, making finding another potential home harder.

I would not hesitate to keep him if I hadn't just gotten a puppy last year and didn't have plans to breed one of my dogs in a couple years. He is a great puppy and he seems like my dog for sure. But if the right home came along, I couldn't turn them away either. I am pretty picky on what the right home is though. [/I]So...we'll see :)
