I am going to start a small dog treat bakery. I intend for all the treats to be grain-free. I do make my own treats now, but I only have a recipe for a bread-like cheese treat that does not keep well, plus it has grain. I need recipes for grain free peanut butter, chicken, cheese, and liver treats, and maybe a recipe for a treat that kills bad breath. :yikes:  Help me!!!
Also, are potatoes and rice considered grains?

just a suggestion from someone who does feed grain free. I will feed treats that have grain in them, as long as the grain is something like organic spelt.

I made some great 'granola' treats from rolled spelt, carob chips, a little butter, it was actually pretty tasty ... even for humans lol.

Its hard to get good treats that are grain free that you bake. You could try dehydrating a good meaty 'slurry'...

I second the suggestion for spelt... also, quinoa is a great option. Potato is a good idea, but personally, I prefer products with sweet potato as it's much more digestible and nutrient-rich.

You could also look into buying a dehydrator and offering dried chicken hearts and such as treats.
