started Barking at random people

So my Patty seems to have developped a new thing that she never used to do. First off, she's ALWAYS really anxious to go see and meet new people. Pulls the lead, pants, and if for some reason I was outside and she wasn't on a lead (just if we're in the yard) she darts towards them full speed ahead.

The thing is that she's recently started barking as she runs towards them. Of course this scares people. If she's on the lead, its annoying cause she will pull to get towards them and bark. And in the past three days while in my yard on tw occasions she ran towards people barking.

Is there anything I can do to try and stop this or control it? I really don't think its an agresive bark. She's a huge scardy cat...when she hears a noise she barks....the other day I was putting her out just as my roomate showed up on her bike and the noise scared her so she started to run towards the back yard to get away all at the same time barking.

She is very friendly and never showed any agression towards any that I know or randomly crossed paths with in the street or something.

Well first off how old is this dog? I think that when she starts to pull you and pant you need to redirect her actually it would be best to redirct her before she sees the peron. Put her in a sit and have her watch you treat her when you have her attention. You could do some about turns and U-turns and other obedience things to keep her focus on you. When the person is pasted praise her and treat her. I hope this helps.
