I started going to the gym with Hubby this week. I'm not much of a gym person, but I figured that I needed to do something physical.....years of working at a desk for 9+ hours a day can't have been good for me.

I've enjoyed it so far! It feels good to be exercising again. I have the women's section pretty much to myself in the morning, and I find it very relaxing.

LOL, I feel stronger already. *flexes* I'm sure it'll do wonders for my stress, too.

Hooray for healthier living!

Go you! It always feels good getting back to the gym...I need to get going again. Once you start seeing results it's like a constant motivator. I used to go to the gym four days a week, run 2 miles w/ sets on some very long stairs, a 1 beach run on the soft sand a week. Now I taken to cooking and baking and chaz...where did the gym go?

I need to start. I have equipment at home but am going to have to pick a date on the calendar and just do it. I know I will enjoy it again once I start. I'm glad you're going.

Yay!! I started going back this week, too. It has gotten out of hand. I tried going jogging with Dan, but it's way to frustrating to run with him and his 5 1/2 minute mile *snort* I gotta catch up to that! LOL

Holy Crap,:yikes: he's fast! I'd be sprinting not jogging at that pace.

I've been working on my speed but can only manage a 10 to 9 minute mile. About 5 months ago I was able to accomplish between 9 to 8 but pulled my hamstring which set me way back off my goal for a few months and I'm slowly regaining it back to a faster pace, still not as fast as originally though. I'm to afraid to injure myself again.

Tell me about it. When I run 3 miles I average between 10 and 11 minutes. I'd like to get it up to 8 or 9 again, too. *sigh*
With his PFT's he has to finish 3 miles in 26 minutes... but since he is a strong runner and runs almost every day he runs his his 3 miles in about 17 minutes. :yikes:
When we go running I'm huffing and puffing and is like a dog that plays fetch: he runs ahead, turns around comes back to "motivate" me (pfffffft!!) and then runs off again. %^*&%!!

Haha, the little stinker! You're lucky though, I wish my husband would join me on my jog. He keeps telling me he wants to start and I'm still waiting.

LOL! Talk about the other extreme! ;) Yeah... I guess it's nice to have him come on runs with me (at least in theory!)

But I found a good revenge: I bought him inline skates, har har!! :D

Jules, get a harness and belt and hitch your dogs to you.
They shave on average a minute off every mile they pull you for while running/jogging and then you don't have to walk them either :p

Canicross :)

LOL!! That would be so awesome! T-Bone is not really suited for jogging... I tried... I played to much tag with her.... so she thinks it's a game. Last time I took her jogging she pretty much rammed into me and checked me into shrubs on the side of the trail because I ignored her gentle nubs. *sigh* Ah, I love her. :)

Voodoo's not a good jogging partner, either. He spends so much time bouncing around, bucking and spinning that he uses up all his energy. And when he's exhausted, he flops down on the ground and refuses to move. I was afraid that I would have to call Hubby to bring the car last time, LOL!

Zeus is a great jogging partner, if you can call it that. I jog, he strolls. Gotta love those crazy Gumby legs of his.
