Does your dog have them? lol.

I know, kind of odd question, and we're in sort of a unique situation where Jackson kind of has two houses. We typically spend about half our time at my dads house, and the other half at my moms. Sometimes we'll go there every other week, sometimes more, but it's usually 4 days in a row at a time.

Now at my moms he's the only dog/animal. He's definitely a lot more laid back, he sleeps in with me until 10 or 11, but still needs a good amount of mental and physical stimulation for him to not start being whiny and needy by the evening, but a good walk and a few romps outside on our 3 acres, and a session of trick training will do. He only barks when someone knocks or comes in the door. He's just a lot more relaxed in general.

At my dads, there's a fenced yard, a pool, two other dogs, two cats, a woman coming in working for my dads company every day, my brother often has a friend over, four wheelers, tractors, mowers going on outside, loose dogs roaming, he's paid a lot more attention to (dad and stepmom are way more dog people vs. my mom and stepdad). But seriously, he's a different dog... he's always sooo high strung, always on alert, needs to be kept busy constantly. He has a BLAST when he's over there - I think there's just SO much going on, that he doesn't want to miss anything. Not to say he doesn't lay down and chill, too, and he sleeps good but does wake up a lot earlier... but he's just got incredible amounts of energy, which I actually like, but after a few days, I like getting back to our normal routine at my moms house. It can also be frustrating because my dads dogs are the most untrained dogs in the world... and he ALWAYS follows their lead.

But it's funny. If my dad saw Jackson in any other environment, I don't think he'd believe he's the same dog. :p

Yes, goodness yes! At my house, Elsie is expected to amuse herself most of the time. She naps, chews cheweys, throws toys, that sort of thing.

At my dad's house, where there are no rules, she's NUTS.

Not the same thing, but Rosey is definitely different when she's with me vs anybody else in he family.

Example, apparently when my sister is walking her, she pulls on the leash a LOT, and will run off when off leash. When I'm walking her? She's right beside me, whether on leash or off. No Pulling at all. Which is super weird cause my sister has always been the one who takes her on her daily walks around the neighborhood.

Only when it comes to our house and normal daily life vs. the Dobes' breeders house. They are all entirely different there than they are anywhere else.

Keira is an absolute frantic nightmare there. She runs around like a maniac, she can't stay outside without screeching at the door to come in, she runs through the door and up the stairs frantically, etc. She's horrible. Her breeder has a lot of house manners expectations and rules for respect, but it just won't sink in for Keira. I hate leaving her there because she's so rotten. Keira is a dog that does need a lot of NILIF in every day life and I make sure to never reward her for anything but relaxed behaviour in most situations, as otherwise she would be similar at our house as she is with her breeder. But at home, with the rules and expectations that she is used to with us, she's pretty easy to live with. I don't know why she can't apply the same behaviour to her breeder's house.

Ripley is extra "omg I just met you and you're my new best friend!" while he's there. Normally he's aloof, and while friendly, simply doesn't care if he meets you or not. But at her house he is sure everyone came just to see him and he has to make his rounds getting as many people to touch him as possible.

And Dance barks a lot there sometimes. No idea why, as normally she's not that barky of a dog. But there she barks at every little noise, people, whatever. She's not as bad now as she used to be there, but she's still a brat.

That's the only place though that I've noticed a big difference in their behaviour when compared to anywhere else. It is a stressful place for a lot of dogs (lots of people and dogs coming and going constantly), so that's probably a big reason why. But it still bugs me sometimes, especially with Keira.

Yes! Jack is completely different at my parent's house (with a zillion people coming/going and 3 other dogs) than if he's away with me as an only dog. My parents don't believe me when I rant & rave about how good he is when he's alone. On the other hand, he has waaaaay more separation anxiety when he's alone with me, therefore it didn't work out with him living with me yet.

Mine was worse than all that...she didn't have personality changes based on whose house she was at.

She was an Aussie/Rottie mix and one day she was an Aussie, the next day she was a Rottie. It certainly kept her interesting.
