I don't get it.......I'm trying to find out the story behind this video, but if I just watch the video, I get so **** angry that I want to hurt some gun-toting badge-wearing a-hole who thinks he can do whatever the hell he wants because he's a "policeman".

In the video, this dog was minding its own business and, at the most, scared of these men who were acting like ignorant idiots with a giant stick. Poor dog was trying to get away and then of course fought against the tightening noose of the catch pole when caught (as every single dog snared with a catch pole does!).

What the ****?

The dog was on the ground, on its side, WAGGING ITS TAIL.

Yes, it was stressed and fought and was scared, but it really did not seem like a threat. What a waste and what stupid, callous cops.

This is just horrible. These police were not experienced in handling dogs at all. Why didn’t they dispatch animal control in the first place? I know that's what our police do whenever they need help with an animal.

The dog was on the ground, on its side, WAGGING ITS TAIL.
I'm pretty sure the tail wagging was just a central nervous system response to death. The dog fell on his side after being shot, and was then shot again.

Oh, I wasn't aware the dog had been shot twice... I only saw the second shot...

Ugh.

Well, I'm glad, for once that I have dial-up and it would take much too long to load the video. I'm so sick of hearing these types of stories! This *%^@#@ police state, nazi control freak, SOB's need to be stopped! There needs to be a revolution or something! That poor dog! And poor us!

Apparently there isn't any animal control for that town or county. Police handle the animal calls. :(

Holy crap! I wouldn't feel safe being 'protected' by such timid police officers - watch how both of them handle their weapons!! So sad for the dog ...

They are nothing but cowardly thugs, to pick on an innocent, weaker species with no provocation. These are dangerous people to be given weapons to and to have power like that over us. Very scary. Very sickening!

I just found this: part one: YouTube - ASPCA THIS IS A CRY FOR HELP UN CUT PART 1 . Read the comments ... could it be possible they were requested to shoot the dog?? (Still sickens me, but they *might* have been doing their job ...)
This makes me confused.........WTF is that lady doing just standing there? It appears to be HER dog (or belong at her residence) She just let them do that? Instead of taking the dog in to be put down if that's what was needed?

I think my anger is more directed at her instead of the cops..........though they should've/could've refused and told her to take it to a vet instead of shooting Cammi in the driveway like that

OMG I wasn't going to watch the video... wish I had stuck with my original plan. how horrible :( I hope something is done about this nonsense. there was absolutely NO need for that. if it was the owner requesting they shoot the dog I would have taken the dog to the vet and sent her the bill for the euth.

Ok, I understand it now...........that WASN'T the dogs owner in the second video, it was the lady who called in a "vicious dog"

The officers were responding to a call from LaGrange resident Mary Coleman that the dog had acted threateningly toward her and her daughter as they walked to a school bus stop.
“It was growling at my six-year-old,†Coleman testified. “I wanted my kid to be safe and myself to be safe.â€
Mays pointed out that the dog could not have been too angry because Coleman chained it at her home while Howell and Powell went to get special equipment used in handling animals.
Uh, ya........that bold part is perplexing and should have told the officers SOMETHING now shouldn't it? How did she manage to get that "vicious dog" captured and chained by herself when TWO officers couldn't handle the dog with a catch pole? WTF? *scratches head*

Back to being pissed at the officers
