spay or not to spay?

should i get Emz spayed, or should i let her hv one litter of pups, if i do breed her i will wait until she is about 3 years do u think i should let her hv pups?
or get her spayed?

Emz has already had her first season

Have she gotten her championship? Is she an outstanding specimen of the breed standard? Is her temperament without flaw? Have her eyes, joints, respiratory system been checked for genetic problems? Is she without food or environmental allergies? Is her pedigree exceptional? Do you have potential homes found for numerous pups, with a commitment for their lifetimes to check up on them often and reclaim them if they are not properly cared for? If you do not have homes found, are you prepared to keep the entire litter yourself rather than settle for homes that are less than satisfactory?

If you answer no to any of the above questions, SPAY!

....that means going through at least 5 more heats with the possibility of accidental breeding..... expensive testings down the road...etc.... Spay ! Peace of mind and no chances of sad out come .

Also of GREAT concern in Cavaliers are inherited cardiac issues. These are RAMPANT in Cavaliers. Many if not MOST will not live out a normal life span due to valve issues.

Pregnancy and whelping is very hard physically on a bitch.

Spay her, and LOVE her.
