Yep! But it's mandatory to prepare it like this:

Macaroni and cheese with hot dogs? Yes. Spaghetti with hot dogs? The thought is grossing me out. The spaghetti through the hot dog is making me wince.

But they're hotdog jellyfish!!! Food preparation keeps the kids occupied for a good hour before mealtime. :rofl1:

Heard of it yes, eaten it, does the "Spaghetti-O's" brand count? I use to eat those often as a kid and they made a version that was hotdogs instead of meatballs, it was good for a change, can't eat any of it anymore though, it's hard to find good hotdogs free of corn syrup (Hebrew nationals are...okay, but are gritty in texture).

That's my fathers favorite! He's always stealing Enda's training hotdogs to make it .

I voted heard of it but never tried it.

I used to eat mac and cheese with hot dogs a lot though, it was (still is?) on the Friendly's Kid's menu and we used to go there a lot, I always ordered that.

It doesn't seem that weird, lots of people put sausage or pepperoni in their pasta.

I've never heard of it, and never tried it, but I LOVE cooking sausages in my spaghetti sauce. So delicious.

I think I'd try it, but I prefer my hot dogs and spaghetti separate.

It's embarrassing to admit this... but Spaghettios with meatballs are pretty much my favorite food in the entire world.

Never for the 1st meal of fresh sauce but when it was time for leftovers my mom would add whatever left over meat was in the frig to the sauce - steak, hotdogs, pork chops. pretty much whatever.

The best pot of sauce I ever made was after my split with my ex. I had a freezer full of game- venison, rabbit, pheasant. I cut it up into cubes, pan browned it and let it simmer in the pot of sauce all day. Yummy!!!!

Yes....have had plenty of mac n cheese with slices of hot dogs or (and we prefer) slices of smoked sausage or polish sausage. Actually, that's a comfort food for Kevin and he asks for it occasionally.

So I fixed it tonight and to report on our oppinion? Meh....take or leave.

The general vote is we prefer my meatballs. I will say though, it was SUPER EASY! LOL (gotta love that part!) I dressed it up a bit with grated parmesan and a crusty loaf of French bread (not home baked, LOL) We all agreed it wasn't bad....just not as good as our usual spaghetti.

ALSO as far as spaghettio's w/meatballs? I STILL LIKE THOSE....(tho they are horrible healthy wise!)....I believe I've taken flack here for that in the past, LOL

MY GOOMBA! You're Italian, I assumed you would be hip to this jive! LOL You know, since Sheldon takes a bite and says "Now that's Italian" ROFL!

Mac and cheese with hotdogs in it is gross. I never understood why people want to ruin perfectly good mac and cheese.

I'll eat hot dogs WITH it, but not IN it.

But I do like lemon juice in my mac and cheese sometimes. We used to have some sort of meat, usually pork chops, mac and cheese and collards a lot when I was little, and my older brother liked lemon juice on his collards, and that started us doing that. Well the juice would run to the mac and cheese, so I grew to like the taste of that as well. :p
