You're not alone, I do exactly the same thing every time I'm expecting company for the weekend. Take Friday off so I can get the shopping and housework done...Yea, sure! I think of a million reasons to delay starting until about 4 in the afternoon, half an hour before I would have gotten home from work anyway.
I love my parents but, yeah buts got to be in there, their interpretation of cleanliness and my interpretation of cleanliness are not the same...LOL So when I'm expecting their visit I feel a bit more pressure to clean. Obviously not enough pressure to keep my addiction of chaz a bay.
Now my BIL and SIL are coming at the end of this month, they are staying a week and I feel so much more relaxed with their visit....*sigh*

I know EXACTLY how you feel, my mother is an OCD cleaner.. Everyone according to her is slovenly in comparison, she even checks that I have cleaned the insides of my kitchen cabinets..
She says.. "Thank god I visit from time to time, otherwise heaven knows what state your house would be in"
I had to redecorate the living room just before she arrived last time, she would have only gotten on at me about the soot from the fire discolouring the walls otherwise.. *Sigh*
