and kick me off my computer butt...

I have my parents coming from Canada tomorrow, staying for 5 days, and I took the day off today so I can clean my house......and I have no motivation to do so. I'll be running around till midnight cleaning, I see it now. LOL

Well . . . . you're on your own on that one, lol! You KNOW we're no help when it comes to two things: talking someone out of bringing home a dog or getting off the computer to do housework :rofl1:

You're not alone, I do exactly the same thing every time I'm expecting company for the weekend. Take Friday off so I can get the shopping and housework done...Yea, sure! I think of a million reasons to delay starting until about 4 in the afternoon, half an hour before I would have gotten home from work anyway.

I have to BOTH go for a run and study for my Icelandic final today. Yet here I am...

So be thankful they're your parents and they'll understand if everything isn't ubertidy. :D if I don

My exam won't understand and neither will my big butt!

I love my parents but, yeah buts got to be in there, their interpretation of cleanliness and my interpretation of cleanliness are not the same...LOL So when I'm expecting their visit I feel a bit more pressure to clean. Obviously not enough pressure to keep my addiction of chaz a bay.

Now my BIL and SIL are coming at the end of this month, they are staying a week and I feel so much more relaxed with their visit....*sigh*

ETA: Crap, it's almost noon time. :yikes:

Well, that just means it's time for lunch, so no need to clean the kitchen as you'll just get it messy by eating! That's usually my justification for procrastinating, and like you, would be up cleaning at midnight tonight!

Sorry, I'm no help. Today doesn't feel like a cleaning-type day anyway.

Randomly, why do you never realize you're out of dryer sheets until you're trying to put a load of wet clothes in the dryer?

I know EXACTLY how you feel, my mother is an OCD cleaner.. Everyone according to her is slovenly in comparison, she even checks that I have cleaned the insides of my kitchen cabinets..

She says.. "Thank god I visit from time to time, otherwise heaven knows what state your house would be in"

I had to redecorate the living room just before she arrived last time, she would have only gotten on at me about the soot from the fire discolouring the walls otherwise.. *Sigh*
