Poor Hunch was left in an outdoor kennel wet and cold. He was injured and couldn't use his rear legs. He also suffered from dry eye. He was an old man. Microchipped with the breeder but not a current owner, apparently he went through three homes so the breeder did not know where he belonged. He spent the night for observation at the vet hospital and then was released to us the next day. They put him on prednisone and eye meds. We couldn't afford a x-ray so they were hoping it was a pinched nerve or disc and the pred would help him. An employee offered to foster him. He made it a few days doing semi-ok but on Halloween evening he hadn't moved all day and then started urinating copious amounts of blood, having trouble moving air, and his belly was swollen. He was PTS Halloween night. Poor Hunch

This girl, 15 if she was a day was found wandering down the street. Mostly deaf, partially blind, skinny with multiple tumors. Her dewclaws were grown into her legs. She was so sweet...had a great appetite and did pretty well getting around. Had pale pink in her urine and her coat was falling out so her kidney's were failing. I found a foster to take her in and she had her for the night...her teenage daughter slept with her on the kitchen floor. Unfortunately 'Chipper' only had one night in that fabulous home. It was found to be in her best interest to have her PTS the next day. Someone once loved this old girl, you could tell by how sweet she was. It was heartbreaking they weren't there with her in the end.

In this one you can sorta see the large tumor on the side of her face.

On a happier note...This is Asubeus and he is an handsome devil. His owners should be coming to claim him tomorrow!

And Angel who could be Kira's twin

Also we had 63 adoptions in October!~We are at 23 as of today, yay!

My heart breaks for so many dogs that want nothing more than to be loved by a family of their own. :( RIP sweet doggies.

But you've done a great job doing your best to help them. :)

RIP poor old dogs. That's one of the most heartbreaking parts of rescue, is the seniors. At least these guys got some good, warm comfort on their last days.

Justice, however, is looking FABULOUS!
